I was hoping that the Jaguars would lose to give the Colts more of a cushion within the division. But as I stated before, the Colts started the season at 8-2, so if they blow the division then they aren't a bona-fide contender anyway.

I said that the Colts needed to win 4 out of their 7 remaining games before the Chiefs game ...... now that they lost to the Chiefs, they need to win 4 out of the last 6. And with 4 of those games being against the Texans and the Jaguars, they will either show that they are for real or they will wilt under the pressure.

If all 3 teams in the AFC South collapse down the stretch and the Colts back into the division title with a record of 10-7, then they aren't going anywhere in the playoffs anyway. If the Colts take care of business and win 4 out of their last 6 games to finish at 12-5, they will easily take the AFC South and likely have one of the top-2 seeds in the AFC.

I originally said that the Colts needed to win 4 out of their final 7 games to win the division and head into the playoffs as bona-fide contenders for an AFC Championship and a trip to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2009.

Then they lost to the Chiefs, so 4-out-of-7 became 4-out-of-6.

Then they lost to the Texans, so 4-out-of-6 has become 4-out-of-5.

Our beloved Colts are running out of affordable losses ...... they still can prove that they are a bona-fide contender to make a deep playoff run, but their sense of urgency has increased exponentially since their win over the Falcons 3 games ago.

If they go down to Jacksonville and beat the Jaguars I am foolish enough to jump back on the bandwagon....a good sound beating would definitely do it!

Regardless of how angry and annoyed that you are with the team right now, you'll be on the Colts' bandwagon until they are mathematically eliminated from a playoff berth, and you know it ...... face it, you bleed royal-blue-and-white, and you can't change that any more than you can change your height or your ethnicity.

That wouldn't be foolish. The Colts could very easily win that game. If the offense fixes its problem with the blitz, they're capable of running the table.

I would say that is true, but also figuring out a way to stop crossing routes on defense.
