After a good night's sleep, I am still pissed off about this pathetic collapse yesterday afternoon! There is no excuse for it, Colts are quickly becoming the Washington Generals of the NFL, only thing missing was a Viking player throwing a bucket full of confetti in Jeff Saturday's face!

I always defended the Saturday hire, but man alive, he should be roasted alive today for the amount of times the ball was thrown in the 2nd half yesterday.

When you're up 33 points, run the ball. Run it, run it, run it, run it, and run it some more. Especially when you have a guy at QB who absolutely sucks.

They passed it 18 times in the 2nd half, and 8 were incompletions. And some were within 5 minutes to go in the half, which gave Minnesota free time outs. The two passes after the interception in the 4th quarter was especially dumb.

It’s all about evaluating the players, not winning the games at this point.

They are a 4 win team. Of the 36 points, there was just one offensive TD. People need to accept this is a losing season. Things don’t get better after you fire your head coach and offensive coordinator.

Then why do it?

And if that’s the plan why keep sending Gilmore and Buckner out there?

Players don’t want to tank. Why would you lose to try and get a guy that will replace you. Coaches don’t either because losing means they get fired. But if you remove certain pieces and cripple a team… you are just giving the fans what they want, plus you get into a position to grab a QB and maybe kick the tires on a outside the box coaching hire.

I mean we weren’t going to with the SB this year anyway. So just embrace the suck to try and get better. Do people mourn the loss of the ‘97 season or do they remember drafting Manning?

Just one last thought on this thread. Matt Ryan makes this Colts team almost unwatchable. He is terrible, worst QB we have had in decades.

Yeah it’s pretty bad, I will say though that the offense is schematically crippled with a 30 year old play caller with no previous experience.

While I agree, it's pretty hard to call plays with a hack like Ryan.

I'd like to know just how bad Foles must be in practice to not get a chance. Ryan, as you point out has been really bad, and Ehlinger showed that he's nowhere near ready.
