He's pointing out that even the most highly respected head coaches make bad decisions with a fairly regular frequency. Even Belicheat makes bad decisions fairly regularly, but his cheating often covers for them.

Ugh, good fucking god, I hate to defend that assclown about anything.

But in terms of getting the most out of his players, his system, and his adjustments, he's in such a different galaxy than Pagano that we lack the technology to know its existence.
