(GAME SEVEN)

Early in the 2nd quarter, the Pacers have avoided a disastrous start ...... the game is tied at 32.

The Pacers are up by 1 point at halftime, 48-47 ...... Thunder fans have to be concerned.

The Pacers have had WAAAAAY too many turnovers through 3 quarters ...... 15 turnovers, compared to only 4 by the Thunder ...... that's the difference in the game right now.

It was a valiant try by the Pacers, but their turnovers proved too much to overcome in this winner-take-all Game 7 ...... they will have to settle for hanging another Eastern Conference Championship banner in the rafters of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as they will take home the Silver Medal for the 2024-25 NBA season.

Tyrese Haliburton scored 9 points in the first 7 minutes of Game Seven of the NBA Finals ...... but then went down with a torn Achilles tendon.

Another what if for this franchise. Our two best shots were the year of the Malice in the Palace, which was the first what if, and now an injury to one of our top 2 players takes away the chance, making another what if. Sucks to be this close and not win.

I don't think that Haliburton's injury was the deciding factor in the series. OKC outplayed Indiana when it counted, both when Haliburton was on the floor for most of the series, and when he went down with an injury early in Game 7. The Pacers' 21 turnovers in Game 7 was a combination of the Thunders' ferocious defense and Indiana simply not playing good fundamental basketball.

OKC was up by as much as 22 points in the 4th quarter, and coasted to a 12-point win. I think that the game probably would have been closer had Haliburton stayed healthy, but in the end it would have been the Thunder winning it.

Well, I guess we will have to agree to disagree, since we will never know the real answer to this one.

Tyrese Haliburton is 25 years-old. The earliest that he could return from his torn Achilles tendon will probably be late February or early March of 2026. He could miss the entire season ...... will Haliburton and the Pacers be patient with his recovery and think of the bigger picture in regard to the young man's career ???
