Opposing defenses are applying more numbers in the box to stop the run, and Minnesota hasn’t had an answer. Only the Indianapolis Colts are averaging fewer yards per rush before contact than the Vikings in the past four weeks — which means the blocking is … well, close to nonexistent.

I have searched for this stat a little and found data for all NFL teams averaged for the entire season. If someone can find the info for the last 5 games (including the Cheats game), I would be interested to see it. I assume Minshew has really impacted this stat.
Yeah, teams just have no fear of GM beating them over the top. Why it’s also so hard to tell if AP has progressed at all.

Despite this, Colts are 11th in sack rate at 7.96% (compared to Browns at 11.28%).

Colts also had the highest sack rate in the past weekend's games, and are ranked 7th in sack rate over the past 3 weeks.

Also tied for 10th in total takeaways.

But when pressure doesn't get home, we're not really hurrying the opposing QBs, because the Colts defense is 25th in Hurry% and 23rd in pressure rate.

So we're somehow scheming a pretty decent sack rate without blitzing, but seemingly contradicting that is a weak pressure rate which likely accounts for the insane passing yards this defense has given up. But really this defense has given up a ton of yards. (worth noting that yards/play stat is more middle of the pack, and we've just ended up with a ton of plays against us, in fact, leading the league in that stat).

In the end, 5th in points against needs improvement.

Also 4th in the league in sacks while blitzing the least in the league.

A 266-game NFL streak has ended ...... dating back to the 2012 season, NFL teams had gone 266 consecutive games of winning when their team gained at least 150 yards rushing while holding their opponent to 10 points or less ...... the Patriots gained 167 yards rushing, held the Colts to 10 points, but lost the game because they only scored 6 points themselves.

Patriots’ Loss to Colts Ended This 266-Game Winning Streak by NFL Teams That Dated Back 11 Years

Offensive line grades in True Pass Sets (excludes plays with less than 4 rushers, play action, screens, short dropbacks and time-to-throws under 2 seconds).
