I agree.

The Colts are still 8-4, and 3 of those losses went right down to the wire.

Losing 3-out-of-4 games will cause many fans to panic and/or declare the season dead, but that is not necessarily the reality of the situation.

The Colts may or may not fold down the stretch, but I don't think that it's a foregone conclusion ...... especially since this team has only had one really bad game so far this season, against the Steelers. They have had 2 or 3 slightly sub-par games (including the win over the Cardinals), but only one really bad one.

They’re at Jax and Seattle in the next two games. Neither of which they are likely to win. That would put them at 8-6 and probably behind or tied with both Houston and Jacksonville.

Houston plays KC and the Raiders the next two weeks. If they go 1-1 they’ll be tied with us but ahead with the tiebreaker. Jacksonville plays us at home next week and the Jets at home the week after. We haven’t won in Jacksonville in like 10 years. If they win both of those, they’ll be 10-4 and a full 2 games ahead, with the tiebreaker against us.

They DESPERATELY needed to win today on their home field and they didn’t.

I honestly don’t think they make the playoffs now. This was an absolutely DEVASTATING loss.

I agree, I really have my doubts they win another game.

The last two games, the defense has given up 20 points each time. I would expect to win a game where you held the opposition to 20 points. The defense hasn't been great, but not bad. The problem has been the offense. Apparently, whatever was working for DJ early, has been solved by opposing defenses. It's time for him and Steichen to adjust.

You're assuming 2 losses against teams that are good, but far from unbeatable (the Jaguars and the Seahawks.) I'm not assuming that, and I don't think that that's a crazy non-assumption.

And while the Colts have not won in Jacksonville since Herbert Hoover was the President of the country, they also won their Opening Day game for the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 ...... so far, this Colts team has shown to be better than the mediocre ones of recent past over the course of the first 12 games of this season.

Extra point miss was painful. Losing our kicker was big.

Seems we're missing a few play calls with Jones injury that existed earlier in the season. He might be playing scared in the pocket, too.

We still have a 74% chance of making the playoffs but the excitement it gone.

Just made a big cash out on fan duel after the last 2 weeks. That makes me feel a little better.

2 weeks ago, Phily and Indy were #1 seeds. lol

They’ll be solid underdogs in both games. Of course it’s not a foregone conclusion that they’ll lose both but if I was a betting man, I’d bet on that happening.

Bottom line is, there’s no way to understate how much this loss today hurt.

They’re in real danger of missing the playoffs entirely now.

Unfortunately you're probably right. It might not be time to hit the panic button, but we very well could be looking at a late season collapse. With the schedule only getting tougher from here on out we're going to have to do a 180 from how we've been playing over the past month, and I don't think we have it in us.

To me this was the second game in a row where we needed desperately for our QB to elevate his play. Jones, while he works like a dog and is physically as tough as nails, is completely incapable of doing this. He is mediocre against anything but shit teams. Gonna be tough/impossible to win big with this kind of QB play.

I have not really dropped my opinion of DJ so much. Today he played quite well, with some really great throws. There were some very key drops by Downs and at the end by Pittman on balls that simply need to be caught. I thought he threw with confidence and he avoided the disastrous strip sacks despite his injured leg. I think when healthy he is fine at the position.

The team however, has really fallen off. There remains a MASSIVE inability to get to the QB. Time and time after time and more time than that, the QB is sitting in a very clean pocket and just waiting for someone to clear- they are consistently getting 2 & 3 reads deep without feeling pressure. Ward, to me, looks washed and with Sauce appearing to be out, this defense is going to be abused in these final few games.
