2022 Hula Bowl Player Drew Ogletree TE from Youngstown State had a great performance at his NFL Pro Day! Running the 40 yard Dash at 4.70 and benching 26 reps. Hope can teach him to block.

I agree that it will be difficult for Ogletree to crack the final roster but apparently the Colts have been watching him for some time. Looks like he would be a good candidate for the practice squad as a developmental TE prospect.

We just talked to Ogletree. He has an interesting story. He was a BIG receiver at DII Findlay until 2020. Transferred to Youngstown and bulked up to play TE. Says the Colts have been tracking him for a LONG time and they seem very, very interested acc to him. I'm intrigued.

To be specific, the Colts have been scouting Ogletree for three years.

In December of 2023, Drew Ogletree was arrested for domestic battery.

Here is the ColtsFreaks thread: ) http://www.coltfreaks.com/forum/show...light=Ogletree

2 months later, those charges were dismissed "with prejudice" ...... meaning that the charges cannot be refiled.

Now, 2 years later, Ogletree leads the team with 8 special teams tackles.

Always felt like Ogletree is a better receiver than Cox. To me he’s a lot like Dulin, would be up to the task if called on.

Cox is likely gone after this year. It will be time for Ogletree to shine.

Why would we want to get rid of Mo Alie-Cox? He has done is job really well. Warren has allowed us to utilise him to maximise his major skills, and not ask him to do more than he is capable of doing. He is one of the league's best blocking tight ends.

If we were to re-sign him next year, i would be perfectly happy with him having a contract similar to this year, which is a 1 year deal for $2.2m, i think that is really good value, unlike his previous contract!

I do agree with the comment, that Ogletree is a better receiver than Mo. But he is not on the same level in terms of his blocking skills, although they are not bad either.

Mallory is the main receiving threat if Warren were to miss any time.

When Mo is asked to be a number one TE he is one of the worst in the league. When asked to be a number two TE he might just be the best one in the league as that. As good a blocker at TE as you can find, doesn't fuck up and can catch 1-2 timely passes a game. I have gone from a Mo hater to loving the the dudes game. He helps set a good tone for the team, appears happy. Part of what makes this a smooth functioning team right now.
