He predicted a rookie running back might have a fumble in his rookie season. Super impressive shit there.

Good thing he didn't predict two fumbles, because then he would have been wrong. But he supposedly had this massive fumbling problem.

Hope you are wrong, big time (I assume you hope the same thing). One thing you are not as concerned with as Ballard is is the dudes character, Ballard is sky high on his motor and character-two things that are integral to his way of thinking. Makes for a better team and experience rooting for them-no obvious douche bags.
Character is the first thing Ballard mentioned. I get the importance of it, but it's not so important as to completely override football ability. To draft Paye, Ballard must have tremendous confidence in his DL coaching group, because they have their work cut out for them. This guy has no understanding of how to attack a OT to generate pressure. They're going to have to put that knowledge in him in 5 months with restricted training camps.

Oweh didn't record any sacks last yr. But you say he's better

Paye.
Ballard said nothing in that clip about loving his tape. He may have said it elsewhere, but not there.

Also, you misunderstood me. I never said anything about who was better between Oweh and Paye. What I said was Oweh has better traits if they were going to draft a guy just for his traits.

I said specifically that he'd fumble away a key game in his rookie season. Chuck Clark 65 yard fumble return TD. It doesn't get more on the nose than that, but you can be reductionist about it if you'd like.

Rathman did a great job. I also wrote a scouting report on Taylor after the Colts drafted him, my comp was Arian Foster with speed. That seems to be working out pretty well. And I'm glad it is.

Ballard says he has really good tape in answer to first question (see whole interview on colts.com). Later says tape is super important to him and is a requirement to be considered in first round.

Chris Ballard: "When you force something, you usually create two holes. You can't do that in the draft. You have to take the best player in the draft."

Ballard said vs. the LTs still on the board, Paye was just better. Plain and simple. Wasn't going to force a LT pick.

Oh I'm sure if I'd been wrong it would've gone the other way.

I’m no expert and I don’t watch college football but His highlights didn’t excite me seems like a Justin houston replacement that might not even get on the field if Turay, Mohammed, Banagu, and Lewis step up

I'd really like to see that "really good tape", because I've yet to find it.

This is why I was hoping Gettleman would take Paye at 20. He loves taking overrated traited up DL.

Maybe if he had a rush plan or even a singular pass rush move, I could see that. He doesn't, but if he did. Hopefully the DL coaching staff is up to the task of teaching him how to pass rush from scratch.
