Default Ballard will be back, strong possibility Saturday will as well.

Jim says Ballard will definitely be back, Jeff Saturday a “strong candidate” for full time head coach.

Sweet Jesus.

Glad to hear Ballard will be back, he gets his swing at a rookie QB. I don't know that I care who the head coach is, as long as they don't fuck up the rookie QB.

We will see about Saturday. The OC hire will be super important though. Needs someone who can work with a young QB and who won’t tske off after a year if they find success.

Everyone assumes the 1st pick will be a QB. I am not sold on any that we will have a chance at with the 1st pick. I think we can get one of the best players in the draft though.

I’ve kind of changed my mind on Saturday.

They need to find someone new, someone who has paid his dues, who has a network of relationships in the league.

A lot of coaches will leave for other teams after the season. Who is gonna want to come to Indy and work with Saturday, who has no coaching experience?

No one good, I’d wager.

I can't keep up with college as much I used to, so I don't familiarize with a lot of players until draft season. But from what I've seen and read about some of these QBs makes me worried about reaching in the 1st.

Obviously you can't win without a good QB. But in my opinion you're also fucking yourself up if you pass on a truly elite, top-5 caliber player and instead take a QB that ends up being Trubisky or Wentz, etc.

Personally, I would rather have one of the QB's next year. But the fan base might go nuts if they don't draft a QB. They don't get that just because you need a QB doesn't mean there is one there for you to draft.

I don't care that much one way or another. I think he is actually a good motivator. I think he would hire good coordinators and stay out of their way. I get tired of the head coach treadmill. They all get hired and fired every few years and usually just comes down to whether they have a franchise QB or not. I will also say Saturday doesn't have an OC or an experienced playcaller. That is a huge liability.

I think Frank would have been a great coach for a young QB. But someone had to answer for the slow seasonal starts.
