He's been holding out, wants more money, if Buckner and Latu are going to be out for any length of time, would you offer the Jets a third round pick for him? The Colt's have the cap space to sign him, I just don't know if he's just a get to the QB guy, or a run stuffer.

The talent is there. But, why can't he stick with a team for more than one season? In the Jets case it may be much less than that.
Is this dude a headcase or just a me first pay me player? |

I don't know, maybe he is a me first guy, what I do know is, he can play. It can't hurt to ask about a trade. This season is starting out to be a " wait until next year" season already !!!

I'd keep the 3, Reddick is 30. Would've been nice to sign him in free agency off his rookie contract, but we're 4 years too late for that. Before his holdout this season, he had 38 sacks over his last 3 seasons.

I'll take the 38 sack guy and give up the 3rd round pick in a heartbeat.

If there was a guarantee he would be the 38 sack guy for the next three years, then it is obvious. However, in the NFL (Not for Long), players rarely get that type of production after 30. If Ballard made this move, the people applauding it today would be the ones saying that he needs fired when he doesn't live up to the contract. Grigson made those moves (well, probably worse than that, but you know what I mean), and got applause for a few months for them. The same applause turned into pitchforks and torches in short order.
