If Lindsey was playing a lot we would be in trouble. I like keeping younger legs at the RB position. A starter on ST is way more important than your 3rd or 4th running back in any event. It is always interesting to see how the Colts make these decisions. Youth (and I assume upside) is a obviously a huge positive. Happy Ehlinger made it (lots of sources are saying he is on the 53)

Horrible decision to cut Lindsey. He was actually competent.
One thing that makes little sense to me is why sign a guy at all if you know you're not going to keep him due to the fact he doesn't play ST (and as a team philosophy it appears that the Colts don't want a #3 RB who doesn't play special teams). Last edited by nate505; 08-30-2022 at 01:44 PM. |

![]() Re: Lindsay Most of the game day snaps of a typical RB3 are on special teams so I am not completely shocked. That is why I mentioned that Lindsay might be a better fit for a RB4 or RB5 role at the time of the signing - Stash him on Practice Squad (if he will accept PS) and then promote to the active roster if either Taylor or Hines is injured. |

We traded for him today. Special teams guy. Hope Weatherford makes it to practice squad.
