Matt Haack was cut by Buffalo today. Not good but has experience. I'd take a flyer on him until what we see is available after final cut down.

Same thought. We've had a good run between Hunter Smith, McAfee, and Sanchez. Never had to think much about it.

Almost certainly going to be a segment on his show tomorrow. Likely complete with a teaser of him coming back. But he's flying way too high with his current gig.

Come on! He would only have to punt once a week, plenty of time to do his show M-F.

While this does suck for Rigo, it is really not the end of the world for the Colts.

What is the talent level between, say, the #10 punter in the league (Rigo) and, say, the #34 punter in the league (whomever we are going to pick up)?

My guess is that there are at least 35-40 guys who are of NFL quality when it comes to punters on rosters or on speed dial. Sure, will they be as good? No, but will their performance have THAT much of an impact on overall team performance? I am skeptical that we will lose much performance.

Some, but not much.

I wish Rigo a swift recovery and hope he is the Colts punter for 2023 and beyond. But if we have to lose a starter to the NFL injury gods whim, this is probably the best one to lose.

There were a few interesting prospects out of the last draft class.

"Dicker the Kicker" actually kicked FG and punted in college.

He was participating in Rams training camp but was recently cut.

He has worked out for the Packers (as PK) and the Jets (as P) the last few days....

He punts AND kicks off. He is top 5 in both. He is a weapon for field position. He holds for the kicker on FG and extra points. Ballard is going to be busy

Zak Keefer
@zkeefer
Colts DE Kwity Paye left practice today with what the team is calling a knee injury. Had it wrapped after he left 11v11 work.
