I dont believe it is physical. Its something personal

In case anyone doesn't know, people who live outside of the Indianapolis area can listen to JMV, Kevin and Quarry, Dakich etc via their podcasts or on the 1070 app. Google podcasts has the shows, I'm assuming Spotify and the others do as well. Entertaining stuff.

JMV has basically become openly hostile towards Frank. It had been Dakic way out front with the overt anger over Frank but JMV is just as open about how bad he thinks Frank is. Dude should just step down.

Is that what you would do if you were Frank?

Looking at this realistically, is there any chance in hell that Frank lasts this season?
Does anyone else think that this move basically forecasts his departure in Indianapolis, staying consistent with Irsay's refusal to fire a coach mid season?
I do.
The more I think about it, and also considering his obvious miscues so far, I think Ballard survives the slaughtering.
I still would take a GM that can consistently hit on mid round picks over most of the rest of the league that typically doesn't. If THAT is your floor as a GM, I will take it. The frugal spending in FA? You can fix that, but I am glad that Ballard hasn't spent big in FA because our team has proven we aren't contenders. Not until we get our QB.
I also think he has learned a big lesson on roster building that I don't expect him to do again with us if he sticks around.
Ultimately, I think Ballard has his core philosophies that he likes to stick to- pay your own guys, build your team through the draft with measurable and character prospects, and focus on the trenches.
If Ballard truly is a guy that rewards based on merit, then in theory he should be a guy that punishes based on merit too- and I think we have seen that with Wentz seeing the door, Ryan seeing the bench, etc.
I wouldn't be shocked at all to see any of our star O-lineman get traded. None of them are playing up to their monetary value.

I would like to think that if I:
- Wasn't very good at what I did, and I knew it
- I was routinely scorned by essentially everyone for my ineptness at what I am paid for

Well I would like to think I would have the stones to step forward and vacate. That said, I would also assume he has a contract clause that says he gets a shit load of money if he is fired and none if just quits, so there's probably that motivation to just ride it till the wheels fall off unfortunately. Which absolutely sucks for the franchise and for us.

I would be surprised if Frank is fired during the season. I can see assigning play calling to someone else, but not replacing the HC mid-season. Having said that, I don't know who I would assign play calling to...

I'd give Matty Ice a crack at it. You can hold a playcalling sheet in a sling, cant you?
I am sure he has better ideas about how to scheme than Franks dusty old tired ideas. He might actually stay with a guy if he is hot.

Because they think the administration should take all their advice and they then call them smug for not doing it. When you go from sports reporter to just another armchair QB. I listen to them too, but they aren't right about everything. I listened to them talk about getting a vet receiver all off-season, but I don't hear them complain now unless there is an injury.
