Stop kicking Luck when the D couldnt get a stop in the second half against the Steelers.
I’m not kicking Luck, just stating fact. His actions set this team back at least 5 years.

They just have to find the next guy. He won’t be a Peyton or Luck. You only get those guys once a generation. But if he is good they should be competitive. I just do t have a lot of faith in Rivers, I think he folds under pressure.

Or the O couldn’t score more than three points.

Folding is all he can do under pressure, because he sure as hell can't move out of the way of it.

I do think we are the kind of team 'built' to beat the Chiefs. We have an offensive line that if it is producing like it can gives us a running game that keep their offense off the field. When the defense gets on the field it won't stop them cold (nobody will) but it is capable the occasional stop and of slowing them down. With a more mobile qb we might even stand a chance in a shootout-might. Long shot but if we get into the playoffs you never can tell.

I think the author is really stretching things here. This is the Rivers comment that his article is centered upon:

Quote:
Stephen Holder of The Athletic reported that the idea of Rivers potentially playing in his last game crossed his mind.

"If things don't go go the way you want this weekend, it could be... I guess it's healthy to have that thought because we're not guaranteed anything going forward," Rivers told Holder.
I read that more as a "tomorrow is promised to no man" type of statement, not any sort of indication that he's contemplating retirement, or that he won't be asked back.

Within 2 years they're going to have to start rebuilding the rebuild.

Until we find a QB for the future I kinda consider us still in a rebuild. We still lack some major pieces. Shutdown corner, Star pass rusher, LT possibly, number one wide receiver, and of course franchise QB. Talent overall is good, but we lack many impact positions.
