I didn't mean this to became a we need an alpha pass rusher discussion (I realize I was clumsy in my wording), we need an alpha pass rush. By that I mean we need to be able to put pressure on the QB of high caliber teams when the game is on the line on a somewhat consistent basis. We need a pass rush that can put pressure on the QB when we and everyone else knows they are throwing. No one thing alone will guarantee success but lack of one pivotal thing can guarantee failure.
