Rap now reporting that AR is strongly considering season ending surgery.

I’d say he’s done for the year.

And maybe that’s for the best. No reason to rush him back if he’s not completely ready to play.

Let him heal and learn for a year and come back with a vengeance next season.

Well, at least he lasted longer than Aaron Rodgers did for the Jets.

Just read the article- this part is at least a big positive:

Rapoport also said in the report that the MRI results showed that there was no tear in his labrum and that the ligaments “looked better than expected.” Even so, surgery is being heavily considered.

Expected and the correct decision. AR is still early in his learning phase and can use the time effectively. Long term we have our QB. Get that shoulder as stable as possible, both he and Steichen are smart men they will work together and get this figured out (keeping him healthy). Lets work on getting AR some more firepower.

Exactly. We weren’t winning the Super Bowl this year anyway.

Let AR and Steichen learn for a year and be ready next year.

Plus, we’ll have Ashton Dulin back next season.

SUPER BOWL!!!!

Jets fans have a macabre sense of humor. There was a poll on one of their boards about which play from the Aaron Rogers era was your favorite.

He played 4 snaps. 😂

I am bummed mostly because watching AR play was easily the highlight of my NFL experience this year. Gonna really miss being blown away by the guy.

Watching us play year after year with a non starting NFL caliber QB has worn me down. AR was such a breath of fresh air, made watching fun again. With him hurt it the same old thing and from the reaction of this board I am not the only person who doesn't give a shit. I have to admire C and O for his faithful approach to the team. Not sure where he gets the stamina to watch knowing we must get lucky to win with an offense without a big time QB. I've seen this picture before and know how it ends (without a franchise player at QB I mean). Just freaking sucks

Yeah, I threw in the towel. Just couldn't do it anymore. I didn't even watch the super bowl this year.
