The problem with bringing in Kaepernick is that we'd have to completely revamp our offensive scheme to match his skill set and then would have to switch back once Luck is back. Our coaches aren't even capable of installing 1 effective system much less 2.
Most likely he is not in playing shape either. Plus who knows what his contract is like either. If he plays for another team maybe SF is off the hook for paying him.
