I just can't trust it. Obviously he used to be really good, but he's also a known head case. Now he's older and coming off an injury. Money and length of contract might make a difference, but I don't trust it.

It would seem like an odd signing to me. You can't deny his ability, but he's displayed plenty of behavior that doesn't seem in line what the Colts tend to look for in players. Not that it's the type of thing that can't change over time.
Also, he tore his ACL (for the second time) in February. Quick end of that recovery time would put him back on the field at the end of November/beginning of December. He'll be 30 years old by then. So even IF he has the ideal recovery (at age 30), we're likely talking the final four games or so of the season best case. |
