He slipped because the ball was slightly underthrown, and he had to come back a little bit for it ...... and then he dropped the ball because he was so conscientious about getting the 2 additional yards that were needed for a 1st down, he dropped the ball while trying to get them ...... if he had just secured the catch by going to the ground, it would have been 4-and-2 instead of the 4th-and-9 that it was.
