At no time did I say 1 year after. I only said before he could be inducted to the HOF. Since we only have 4 1st ballot HOF coaches, who knows how long that could be?

Bobby Bowden was still coaching when he was elected to the College Football Hall-of-Fame when was 76 years-old. Bill Snyder was also 76 years-old when he was elected while still coaching in 2015. John Ralston was 65 years-old when he was elected while still coaching in 1992, and John Gagialrdi was 80 years-old when he was elected while still coaching in 2006. I'm fine with coaches that are well beyond their 60th birthday and still coaching being elected to the Hall-of-Fame, in the pros and in college ...... Bear Bryant never got to see his induction because he died when he was 69 right after he finished coaching his final game, and he was not elected until 1986, 3 years after he died. A coach might live until he is 99 years-old like John Wooden did, he might live until he is 90 like Don Shula did, he might live until he is 82 like Chuck Noll did, or he might drop dead at 57 like Vince Lombardi did ...... if players regularly continued playing well into their 60's and 70's like coaches often do, I would be OK with them not waiting to be retired for 5 years for induction, also. o

Vince Lombardi, who didn't cheat, wasn't a 1st ballot HOFer. Not sure why a cheating POS like Belicheat should be put ahead of him.

One of the first times anyone has held Belicheat accountable for his cheating, and we're saying that's anything but warranted? Why?

This isn't being held accountable, it's your prototypical tempest in a teapot. A nothing burger. He will get in next year and the entire thing will be forgotten. Hall of Fames are egotistical bullshit anyway. Lombardi's are what counts and the dude has a ton of those. All this other crap is someone's opinion. I am betting most of us are old enough to not give a shit anymore about what most people think.
