Per Jay Glazer he tore his Achilles tendon and is done for the year.
I was never the pay him guy. I also understood he is not our biggest problem. He was capable of winning more games then he lost with the weapons he has. I guess we are going to find out what Riley has. He wasn't as horrible today as I thought he would be. I have guarded optimism. He definitely didn't act like it was to big for him today. I guess we really don't have a choice but see who he is.

He's going to have a hell of a test going on the road against Seattle.

They're all gonna be a test from here on out. I just want to see the playbook opened for him and an honest chance. I know we were all seduced by the early season success. We knew deep down this is the Colts we expected. Why not find out if this kid can do it. If he can that money they were going to spend on Jones can be spent on defensive help where we need a lot of pieces.

I wonder if this is similar to Tyrese Halliburtons situation where a leg injury that he tried to play through led to the Achilles injury.

Was thinking the same thing. The Halliburton effect. Man, got seduced into a false sense of playing with big tits (Early season record) to reality that they were just paper shoved in a bra. I have a serious love/hate relationship with this team.

So what happens to Daniel Jones? It is very unlikely he can even play next year. What a tough break, I suppose insurance will kick in and maybe, if he fully heals he can come back, but this could be career ending?

??? He may not be ready for training camp but I don’t think it will keep him out all next year.

If if he is, his contract is up, why would we bring him back unless we are sure he is 100% (very doubtful)!

One thing about Jones that isn’t discussed as much as it could be is his proneness to injury. He’s missed at LEAST 2 games because of injury every year of his career, with the exception of last season when he was benched.
He’s not as injury prone as AR but he’s not far behind him either. That’s another reason it’s hard to advocate for signing him long term. |
