If a troll comes here and knocks the team, management, a coach or a player; we don't just disagree, we unite against the scumbag. And to me, that's the real beauty of this board.

I agree. That is why I am calling him out for being a petulant child about it. That is what you described in your first paragraph.
I say petulant child because a realist knows only one team wins it all every year. A realist knows that some teams always suck and finish with a top five draft pick. A realist knows that there is a lot of luck involved in winning and losing (a game of inches, they say). A realist knows injuries play a huge part in the lucky thing, because you never know which team will lose key players and which will finish the season with enough to win it all.
I get the frustration about not winning the division in quite some time. I hate it, too. I also get the frustration of not winning a playoff game in five or six years, but there are franchises who win one playoff game every ten to twenty years. We are not them. Yeah, we all hate the murky middle, but I prefer to see my team win more than they lose, instead of hoping for an 0-17 season to get the top pick. It worked out well for us twice (Manning and Luck were true studs), but there have been far more busts at that pick. I mean, if we say the Titans, Jets or Browns are in a better spot because they have the top pick all the time, then we are wrong. They still suck. Jacksonville seems to be the only one who got the top pick very often that has shown progress with it.
