While I concur that DJs long ball is not a strength, there have been TONS of top ten offenses over the past decade that could not push the ball 40+ yards downfield with success.
As long as he can hit 15-25 yard passes, then I am not terribly concerned with defenses selling out to stop the short passing game. And I do thing DJ can hit those intermediate passes well.
He just needs to make sure that when he does bomb deep to back the defenses off, that he does so in such a way that it is either a Colt making the catch or it is uncatchable. I love sideline jump balls for that choice.
And I, for one, will never ask for AR to be in the Colts starting lineup every again. I was done with him at the end of 2024.
