To be fair I think it's more of a mixed bag:
Leonard was paid prior to last season and had a really good year (we'll see how he does if he ever sees the field again), Buckner was paid when we traded for him in '20 and was really good in both '20 and '21, and Grover has still played well after being paid.
On the flip side Smith has sucked since he was paid before the '21 season, Kelly had a good year in '20 but took a step back in '21 and sucks now, and Moore has sucked ever since he decided he should be paid more.
Hines hasn't been as productive either, but I think that's more b/c of Wentz in '21 and Frank's shitty game planning so far this year.
