I don't think Watson has the balls to do it. He'll eventually show up. He would have been more vocal about his strategy otherwise, imo. Especially considering it is the age of social media. I also don't remember Palmer being considered as good as Watson, nor as durable. I could be wrong about that.

I think his best play going forward is to just take it easy for a couple of years and see what Houston does. Sit out for the smallest injury, wait for his contract year, and then put everything he has back into it to try and win another contract with another team.

Perhaps by that point Cal McNair will accept his incompetence (or perhaps become competent), Houston will be in a better place, and he will choose to stay.
