Jones done
Per Jay Glazer he tore his Achilles tendon and is done for the year.
I was never the pay him guy. I also understood he is not our biggest problem. He was capable of winning more games then he lost with the weapons he has. I guess we are going to find out what Riley has. He wasn't as horrible today as I thought he would be. I have guarded optimism. He definitely didn't act like it was to big for him today. I guess we really don't have a choice but see who he is. |
He's going to have a hell of a test going on the road against Seattle.

I wonder if this is similar to Tyrese Halliburtons situation where a leg injury that he tried to play through led to the Achilles injury.

So what happens to Daniel Jones? It is very unlikely he can even play next year. What a tough break, I suppose insurance will kick in and maybe, if he fully heals he can come back, but this could be career ending?

One thing about Jones that isn’t discussed as much as it could be is his proneness to injury. He’s missed at LEAST 2 games because of injury every year of his career, with the exception of last season when he was benched.
He’s not as injury prone as AR but he’s not far behind him either. That’s another reason it’s hard to advocate for signing him long term. |
The man gave 100%. Somehow, I'd like to see him rewarded for that, but this is the NFL and the salary cap ties their hands.
