They lost 2 close games in Buffalo and Denver the past 2 weeks,, played without Rashee Rice for the first 6 games of the year, and were without Xavier Worthy for the first 3.

In their last 3 game stretch of home games, once Mahomes had an intact Receiving corps, they beat Detroit, Washington and the Raiders. by a combined 63 points.

You underestimate the Chiefs at your folly.

Three losses, and IMO, only the Steelers dominated them. The Chiefs dominated them in the 4th quarter, but taking the game as a whole, only the Steelers dominated them. There's not a team in the NFL this year that can say they've not been dominated at least once. It's not over til it's over. Colts have six more regular season games. Let's just see what happens. Too often on this board, some folks start christening the Colts, Jones and Taylor as elite after a great performance and casting aspersions, particularly on Jones, Steichen and the team in general after a shitty game. EVERY GAME IS UNIQUE AND UNPREDICATABLE. It's why bookmakers love the NFL. Just when you think a team is all that, they stink up the field.
Let's just look forward and see what kind of team we have. Get behind your Colts, the ride will be bumpy, but I for one, wouldn't want it any other way.

Let's look at this a different way. For this exercise, I'm going to count the Berlin game as a road game because I don't care if the Colts got the gate, I care if the game is played in Indy or not. The Colts are currently 5-0 at home and 3-3 on the road. That is fairly common for contending teams: they're dominant at home and competitive on the road. As long as they maintain their winning ways at home and grab 1 or 2 of the last 3 wins on the road, they will be in contention for the 1 seed. What happens from there, well, that's the playoffs. Every game there is win or go home. What happens from there depends on what version of the team shows up for each game.

The Steelers dominated the offense, with the assistance of a few lucky bounces, primarily Payton Wilson playing the wrong zone and being rewarded for it and Payton Wilson batting a pass that just so happened to fall right into Jack Sawyer's hands. Change those two plays, and IMO the game goes the Colts' way. The Chiefs game is on Steichen's playcalling, and that's what concerns me the most. I hope that in future high pressure situations, he won't just abandon the run.

I am not sure why everyone is giving Jones such a pass on the play calling. First of all he and Steichen seemed tied at the hip, he spends all his time supposedly working on the game plan with Stiechen but apparently has no input once the game starts, has no ability to change the play at the line of scrimmage and just gets only one play to choose from. This cannot be true, if it is we are screwed going forward. I guess I am to fucking old but I can guarantee Unitas or Manning wouldn't have sat there and run plays sent in if they felt there was a better option. I remember Unitas saying you need a feel for the game that only people in the game have when calling plays. But then again those men were leaders
