Buckner was placed on IR today. Neck issues are tough

Ughh. Maybe the most important player on defense.
Run defense and pass rush will both be noticeably worse. |
Sounds like it's not the big IR... but that's a minimum of ATL, KC, and HOU (home) games.
Bummer. |
Get well soon, DeForest. We'll struggle without you.
|
But of course. Damn!

I predict that the Colts will weather the storm, and win at least 2 out of their next 4 games ...... after that I hope that Buckner will be back, but I also hope that they don't rush him back. It's nice to have started the season at 7-1, prior to the loss to the Steelers. It gives a team a lot of cushion to work with, which was the opposite of the position that the Colts have been in for every season in the past decade except for the 2020 Philip Rivers season ...... prior to the 2020 Philip Rivers season, the last time that the Colts got off to a good start to the season was in 2013, when they went 6-2 in their first 8 games. They did start the 2014 season at 6-3, but that was after losing the first 2 games of the season for an 0-2 start. o |

That really sucks. Get better soon, Buck.
With everyone healthy, add a good linebacker, and this team is complete. No weaknesses anywhere. |
I didn't hear it but on JMV it was presented that Steichen did not sound very optimistic that the Dec 14th, 4 games missed date, was likely.
Man losing Buck for an extended time is a crushing blow. Sunday we will see what this team is made of for sure. |
