I guess I have a stupid question.... if Leonard isn't going to play, would it not be more beneficial for someone else to be getting these practice reps?

No. He had back surgery. It takes time to get those muscles rebuilt. And he probably isnt in game shape due to surgery. Neither the coaches or Leonard know what he can due until he can do it in practice. They had to cut muscle to to take pressure off the nerve and reconstruct the nerve placement.

If he gets back before mid season, I will be surprised
