Jalen Collins signed to practice squad

Talented kid. Hope he doesn't screw up anymore. I guess they are going to keep him on PS until he's in game shape? He could actually improve our secondary by a good margin! |
He's a good player, but I'm keeping my expectations low.

We need help at CB and he is talented enough to provide that help but only if he is in game shape and has his head on straight. We will see. Walk Worthy, |
He’s been suspended FOUR times already! Hope he can stay off the weed this time

As the tweet describes, low risk, high reward signing of it pays off. Not counting on the payoff, though.

We didn't take a chance with Gordon, so let's hope this kid can keep his shit together and produce. Need CB help, obviously.
|
He’s gonna get scooped off practice squad. Better get him active

Not holding my breath on this one. But yeah, low risk signing. He got a second chance, see what he does with it.
|
Believe he has been suspended by the league twice, and then twice by the Falcons for other reasons.
He is a highly talented guy, so hopefully he is all sorted and ready to get his career on track. |

After the “building the culture” mantra about free agency it seems like an odd signing. Have to think Ballard really believes Collins can get his shit together. That it’s not just based on a gamble on talent. Either way, I like low risk, high reward type moves.

So let him bust his ass in practice and make it to his meetings and see if he cares. Its a second chance that most people never get. Let him prove he's committed. Even if he doesnt play until next years preseason. It's a draft pick, and if he bombs out, then they did the right thing. |

I'm sure Ballard has probably said similar things in different interviews - but recently, VeveJones007 posted a snippet from a Holder podcast which stated that the team was ahead of his initial schedule. I linked the post below: http://coltfreaks.com/forum/showpost...&postcount=184 |
