I'm seething and on the brink
Anthony Richardson, bless him, has shown major flashes and potential talent...but he's injury prone and not long for this league. Now he's probably out for two months. The Colts have needlessly paid dickhead Taylor and kept broken Leonard on a ridiculous contract. Both of those guys are clients of effective team owner Malki Kawa. Sure, we're 3-2 but what happens now? Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'm tired of this shit. Maybe the Manning curse is real. Maybe Luck put a curse on us after he quit and stole $24M because former owner Irsay was a sentimental dumbass. I'm just tired of it. Josh Downs looks good. Steichen: good luck. You're a better coach than Frank. Ballard: I'm sorry, but fuck off. Maybe Malki can get rid of Jim. He's the real owner, anyway now.
I'm absolutely livid and about done. |
A unicorn is a unicorn...they don't exist. Let alone a purple spotted one.

Why on earth does JT’s contract piss you off so much?
He’s one of the better running backs in the league. It’s not like the Colts are dripping with talent and can afford to just get rid of great players. Moss has been good but Taylor, when healthy, is objectively better. There’s no question about it. Why does it bother you that we locked him up? I root for whatever helps the Colts win games. And signing JT does that. Besides, they have the cap space. It’s not like Ballard was going to use that money to sign some high priced free agent anyway. Why not use it on JT? Leonard’s situation is because of injury. He was worth every penny when he signed and he may still get back to that. It’s still to early to give up on him, in my opinion. I just find your level of anger very odd. |
Nobody can say this organization doesn't take care of it's guys.
The Tits traded AJ Brown. I still think that's arguably the dumbest shit I've seen in years. |
I love AR as a player but let's face it, it was a gamble picking him and it is starting to look like we lost! His playing style requires a body that can take a lot of punishment, obviously Anthony can't take NFL hits and stay healthy.

* Talent: the D is pretty good but thin at some positions. And very young * The O Line has been pretty good despite injuries. *.The rookies have contributed * Watch the movie “Bridge of Spyies”. Great philosophy about worrying * Whats our record? 3-2 with 2 conference wins. Holy shit! I will admit I have one concern, the head coach needs to realize that this team need to score on every opportunity inside kicking range. Yes, scoring TDs is preferable. The bought the best FG kicker in the league, he has more range than Adam V ever had for the Colts. Score on every possession put more pressure on the other team. Shane blew the fourth down play. |

AR has shown remarkable flashes, remarkable. Has thrown passes that so few in this league have the talent to make. His running skills are obviously off the chart. We need to see him in a protracted series of games to see if all this is sustainable. The sample size right now is very very limited. If he is really only out 4-6 weeks, we'll get a few games a the tail end of the season to see if he can make it through a series of games or not, if so, I feel pretty confident we have our guy. |

Other QBs like Stafford and Allen had injuries their first couple of years and have had long careers. You're spiraling. |

Why in the fuck is there this belief going around that AR has to be a running back as well as a QB. Initially it was that his legs would compensate for his inexperience as a passer until his passing came around. Absolutely nobody believes that AR is going to be a 30 year old running back/QB. Nobody's body is going to stand up to that kind of beating year after year. Watching AR play for just over 2 games a few things are clear. The man is very very smart-at least in a football sense. He keeps improving in leaps and bounds with his decision making, pocket presence and leadership. It may be worth running the young man in the red zone, OCCASIONALLY, but WTF are we doing it in the middle of the field for? Let him use his crazy athleticism to escape from the pocket and make plays down the field with his cannon of an arm. When you escape the pocket you are running AWAY from defenders, not into the teeth of the defense. Sliding is way more natural and the hits less powerful when you are not running with a 'Earl Campbell' type attitude. It is stupid to take any extra chances, I don't want to see another career ruined by injury (I am still sick about Bert Jones-yeah I'm 70 now. Those of you up there with me will attest that it is incredibly weird being this old-and getting weirder). On top of that once that joint is weakened it is much easier to injure again. Stop trying to make him into a hybrid running back/QB please.

In the running game from AR, all I want to see are the 20 yard (or 50) scrambles and the 3rd and one bootlegs.
No need to call a running play for him. He was running scared Sunday and went down before contact for 2 yards a few times...so just stop calling those plays. |
It is a bit early to be hitting the panic button on AR, calm your tits.

You'll be OK in the long run. You're just going through some stuff. We all have issues ...... the only people who don't are in the morgue. o |
Folks should not freak out. Stafford played like 13 of his first 30 some odd games because of injury, Rogers hurt his shoulder same as AR and couldn't throw for over 10 yard and nobody screwed their shoulder worse than Drew Brees did. All of them had long successful careers. Worst case is that AR has a bad 3rd degree injury and requires surgery and loses the year. He will be back fine next year and have that year of sitting and learning so many wanted. I just think that it isn't worth it having him be our running back. He is to damn talented as a quarterback.

One of the most pleasant seasons the Colts have had in a while and you're upset.
That sucks, even with some things like AR getting hurt I've enjoyed this season probably as much since 2020. |
