The official Colts get Rammed gameday thread.

Have at it, you turds.

27-24 Rams.

Aaron Donald gets 7 sacks, AR is in a full body cast after the game and Irsay throws a whiskey bottle onto the field from the owners box.

njcoltfan 10-01-2023 07:00 AM

Colts ride the hot placekicker, gay guy wins it with a 65 yard field goal 24-21 !!

Oldcolt 10-01-2023 08:30 AM

I will be very interested in how the offensive line plays. This is a test for our new offensive line coach as well as Steichen-does he call a game that allows the line to have a chance? The line won’t be a positive I am almost sure but can this new staff make it not a huge negative? I’m betting they can.

Wow1 Eight FGs. Impressive!

omahacolt 10-01-2023 09:02 AM

Not bad on the title. I give it a A-

very clean

omahacolt 10-01-2023 09:04 AM

i see a loss today.

i think our defense gets picked apart some. i also think the run game struggles leading to a lot of 3 and outs.

20-13 rams

omahacolt 10-01-2023 09:06 AM

things i want to see today

1) richardson finishes the game healthy

2) 2 explosive pass plays. over 25 yards

3) the dline continue to be a force

4) someone besides pittman start making a big impact. granson? downs?

i will be happy if i get to see all of that. regardless of score

CletusPyle 10-01-2023 09:27 AM

Stafford is due to have a great game, he has not played well the last couple of games....when he is on, he can be very good. I don't know what to expect from AR today but they better protect him, if they can't, pull him and put in Minshew. If AR was to get another concussion today his career could be over before it starts!

I think Stafford plays well but I also think AR plays well today.

Colts 27
Rams 24

Have we announced who's officially out?

With the injuries I think this is going to be a tough one today: 20-13 Rams

ChoppedWood 10-01-2023 11:16 AM

Only 2 things I want to see from this game:
- AR no injury
- Alec Pierce fucking show up and make some contested tough catches to at least starting to disprove he isn't in need of an immediate high draft pick replacement.

Expect AR to have some real challenges today with a pocket that is in his face all game causing him to have to escape. Also think today will be a day where you see some of the out of the pocket ad libs that blow your mind with on the run dimes.

We'll lose by 2 TD's.

2021 Rams: l World Champions.

2022 Rams: l Horrible Season, especially considering the fact that they were the defending world champions.

2023 Rams: l Looked good in their opening win of the season against the Seattle Seahawks, and appeared that they may have regained their 2021 form as an elite team ...... until they lost back-to-back games to the San Francisco 49ers and the previously-winless Cincinnati Bengals.

In other words ...... this 2023 Rams team is still a HUGE question mark at this point.

Blake Freeland gets the start at Left Tackle due to Raimann being out.

Looks like Big Q, Smith and Buckner will give it a go and will play today.

Colts Inactives:

QB Sam Ehlinger (3rd QB)
C Ryan Kelly (concussion)
LT Bernhard Raimann (concussion)
TE Will Mallory
DE Isaiah Land
LB Cameron McGrone
CB Darrell Baker Jr.

Better be a lot of moving the pocket today. Loved all the motion in the backfield stuff they were running last week, need to be a bunch more of that this time and with a lot of motion going into Freeland's man for a double.

Incidentally, I think that the 2023 Colts are just as much of a question mark as are the 2023 Rams. The only thing that I am pretty sure about this team are the defense and the place-kicker, both of which are very solid in my view. Our quarterback is talented-but-inexperienced quarterback, and our offensive line is a HUGE question mark ...... subsequently, over the course of this 17-game season, the 2023 Colts might go 5-12, and they might go 12-5.

Probably ugly, but he'll need his lumps at some point anyway.

Hoping the protocol doesn't keep Raimann out multiple games.

CletusPyle 10-01-2023 01:05 PM

Stupid stupid stupid!

ChoppedWood 10-01-2023 01:05 PM

Stupid fucking hit- he was not getting near the FDM! Fucking stupid!

WaynesWorld87 10-01-2023 01:06 PM

100% the right call, too. What a dumbass decision by Speed. Instead of a Rams punt, they get a free 15 and 1st and 10 at our 29.

Spike 10-01-2023 01:07 PM

Fucking Speed, what a dumbass.

ChoppedWood 10-01-2023 01:08 PM

Welp...

nate505 10-01-2023 01:09 PM

Damn, that was one of the dumbest hits I've ever seen. I like Speed, but holy fuck that was extremely stupid.

ChaosTheory 10-01-2023 01:09 PM

EJ Speed, you fuck.

HoosierinFL 10-01-2023 01:10 PM

Those points are all on Speed’s mistake

CletusPyle 10-01-2023 01:10 PM

Should have been stopped and forced to punt!

Mr. Session 10-01-2023 01:11 PM

Accountability is a thing but you let speed back on the field in the same series?

Stupidity will cost you games.

nate505 10-01-2023 01:13 PM

Yay, a slide!

WaynesWorld87 10-01-2023 01:13 PM

Speed's dumbassery eventually leads to a 7-0 hole for us to climb out of. That makes 2-of-4 games we've given up a TD on a team's first drive/possession of the game, correct? The Rams and Ravens did. Did the Jags score on their first or second possession? Feels like we've been down 7-0 at some point in the 1st quarter all season.

ChoppedWood 10-01-2023 01:14 PM

Nice stonewall of the blitzer by Q there for the first!

nate505 10-01-2023 01:15 PM

Man is Richardson a legit weapon out there

IndyNorm 10-01-2023 01:16 PM

Great fucking job Speed! This 7 point hole is on all you dumbass!!

nate505 10-01-2023 01:17 PM

Well that sucked.

Looks like the coaches aren't buying the fake punt thing anymore

CletusPyle 10-01-2023 01:17 PM

Speed needs a pick 6 to make up for being a dumbass!:D

I thought for sure he was just gonna have Minshew punt it.
