Smitty Update
Hey Freaks. Keep Smitty in your thoughts and prayers. Been a rough week for him. He is has been in the hospital since last week. We were able to talk to him today and he is in good spirits.
He still ran my payroll today and asked what else he could help with HA Smitty is one of the smartest guys I know. But I think he is tougher than he is smart. Yea he's a tough MFer. He got to watch the game. Well the last quarter and OT. He will be going in for another surgery tomorrow and I will update you all then. |
Stay strong Smitty, we're pulling for you

Smitty did not miss the Colts win over the Ravens ...... I sent him a PM, and even though he didn't write back to me I saw on his profile that he was signed in to Colt-Freaks several times before and during the game. Even from a hospital bed, our posters will find a way to watch Colts games. o |
Oh, man. Get well soon, Smitty! We need old-timers on this forum, and you're a classic.
|
Get well soon, Smitty!
Hopefully he WASN’T able to witness the end of the Notre Dame game on Saturday! |
Wishing you the best Smitty
Hope the surgery goes well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

UPDATE. Surgery was delayed but Smitty is out of surgery It went well. They will be moving him back to his room in a while. Waiting on more updates from Mrs Smitty
I will update every step. Keep him in thoughts and prayers. He knows you all have been praying and is VERY grateful. As is Mrs Smitty |

Latest Update. With Smitty's permission I am sharing
A few yrs ago. Smitty was on a beach in Fla and stepped on something and his foot got infected. It got very bad and they ended up taking his leg at the knee. His current reason for being in the hospital is his other foot got infected somehow. They tried just taking the toes. But this week then ended up taking his other leg. On top of that. Tomorrow they have to stop his heart to get it back into rhythm Please keep him in your prayers as he goes through all of this. He seems in good spirits but obviously worried about the heart stoppage tomorrow. Support Freaks!!!! |
Hope all goes well tomorrow Smitty! Take care and get well soon!
|
Scary stuff. Prayers going up!
|

Hope all goes well tomorrow Smitty!

Good to hear! Thanks for keeping us updated Puck!
|
Man, sorry to hear. Keep battling brother! Get well and back on here talking some blue & white!
|
Oh wow thats a lot of stuff to deal with.
Best of luck Smitty. We're all getting old - one of my best friends and fellow colts fan (who isn't on this board) has had to get 5 stents after repeated heart attacks. Getting old sucks, but it beats the alternative! |
Puck, Let Mike know if he is up to it, come on down to the show and we will park him at the door and he can use our suite to rest in as needed. Have not talked to him for a minute and didn't know he was having issues. Prayers from our family to him and his lovely wife.
|
Have not seen any updates as of late but hoping Smitty is doing better. Hang in there Sir!
|
Yes. Sorry. He is in the In Patient rehab working on getting his strength
