GAME THREAD: Revenge, or Humiliation (vs. Jaguars. 10/16)
o
lllllllllllllllllllllllllll,, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllll, vs. llllllllllllllllllllllllll,, JACKSONVLLE JAGUARS o |
I’ll take humiliation for 500, Alex….
|
If they've actually benched Pryor, I like the Colts chances in this one. The Jaguars struggle in Indy almost as much as the Colts struggle in Jacksonville, with their last win in Indy coming in 2017, and a 5-15 record in Indianapolis since realignment. Still think Lawrence is a bust, so if Ryan has any time, the Colts have a good chance to win.

Thanks. I'm giving you an "A" for grammar. o |
No surprises on the Colts Inactive List since four of those guys had already been ruled OUT for the game.
RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) RB Nyheim Hines (concussion) DE Kwity Paye (ankle) LB Shaquille Leonard (concussion/nose/back) QB Nick Foles C Wesley French DT Eric Johnson II |
Jags win, most fans vacate stadium by start of 4th quarter.
Jags 24 Colts 10  |

I could imagine the firing of Matt Rhule having some effect on the game plan for today. Reich and company have to be increasingly aware that they are on the hot seat and may be compelled to try some different defensive schemes as well as more trick plays on offense to be less predictable. Won’t be surprised at all if we see an option pass, flea flicker, fake field goal, etc.
|
So the early rumor is that Pryor is going to start at RG.
I mean, at least it's not RT, but sheesh, how does this guy keep seeing the field. https://twitter.com/zkeefer/status/1...MSMZlwFyEE2hGQ |
Early offensive line in warm-ups

Hey O-line players, your job is to engage the defense. You're not matadors. Get a fucking paw on someone, anyone. Quit looking at the back of helmets when they fly by you on their way to murdering our QB.
Jackoffs, 34 Colts, 13 |
They have to be able to run the hall to have a chance and that will be a tall order without Taylor and Hines.
I don’t see it happening. I see Ryan running for his life and fumbling a lot. |

This is the first week I don't have a feel for the game. Lots of injuries to overcome. Then you also have lots of coaches to overcome.
Wonder if they practiced screen passes. Should really bring someone in that can help the team figure out how to run one. They are great at the one part- letting the dline through. 23-20. |

TV just flashed to the sidelines, Frank still holding the clip board, so we are fucked. 28-9 Jags. Another game with no TD's, though we have two opportunities inside the 10 in this game where Frank kicks FG's on 3rd and goal- to show the world he isn't the river boat gambler we all think he is and he will take the points when they are there to be had.

Good afternoon everyone

This thing isn't getting reversed until the top is gutted! |
I'm actually feeling good about this game. Don't know why really. Maybe it's just I feel the defense has found their groove and won't let Lawrence look like the second coming of Joe Montana out there.
|
Fuck Phil. Fuck Boomer.
|
Why does the field always look like shit on TV?
|
Hey, tempo change- wow, didn't think he knew that was allowed!
|
Short, quick hitting stuff!
Keep that shit up! |
Hey, look at that, a screen to Campbell that works well.
|
Come on Campbell, make that catch.
Great, wouldn't have mattered anyway, a hold was called. |
Ugh, a punt. Oh well, I get it, it's early.
|
The defense will score today.
|
Well that was ok. An ok drive,

Six or seven drop-backs with no sack/fumble.
That's like, some kind of record this year. Quick hitting pass plays will work for a while, hopefully wear down that D-line, but going to need to hit a TE up the seam, or #14 for some yards to get that defensive backfield to move back a bit. Good idea to punt on 4th and 3 too. Now crush Lawrence. |
Well that sucked.
|
That looked like Taylor on that run there
