Whaddaya gonna do when winter comes

Many years ago, while in the Air Force, working on B-52s in -15 degree weather, my hands getting frostbite. Job finished I jumped in a warm truck where the lifers were all sipping coffee plotting my next flight line job. One particular lifer would look at my shivering face and say, "whaddaya gonna do when winter comes"

I get that feeling now, the Colts are 1-2-1 right now. There are 8 teams with a shittier record and another 15 teams just 1/2 game ahead of the Colts. They've played less than 25% of the season and already we are all doom and gloom. So I ask, whaddaya gonna do when winter comes?

I will still be here. I am an optimist. I see our glass way more than full. We can win a few in a row and be back in the hunt for a good seed.

Yea, I will be here too, while I doubt that Frank will be sitting next to me on a couch, I will be hoping he sitting on a couch somewhere.

I dont suppose you were at Ellesworth AFB?

IndyNorm 10-04-2022 09:32 PM

And looking at the schedule things are probably going to get worse as we very well could not win another game until we play Wash on 10/30 (and who knows if we'll even win that). I don't see us beating either the Jagoffs, who I'm sure will skull fuck us again, or winning at Tenn. Maybe Denver on Thur. night if they keep playing like shit, but we have a long history of being other teams slump busters

I ain’t going nowhere

It ain’t as bad as it seems

Stop turning the ball over, Grover, Franklin, and Gilmore are playing top notch defense

Beat the Broncos and get a mini bye for the jags

I signed up for Puck's streaming service, so I'm going nowhere, I'm a cheap old bastard, I'm going to get my moneys worth, no matter how bad the product the Colt's trot out every week !!!!!!!

God bless you, they put those SAC bases in some of the coldest part of the US. Its hard to explain to people the sight of a B -52 practicing low level runs so low you could see the pilots in the cockpit.

i will always watch. no matter how bad things get

i just have zero expectations and will quickly go from being mad to looking for a better draft pick every week

Most people cant help themselves from watching a train wreck. You want to, but you cant close your eyes

I don't look at it that way. It's more like;

Can this team have a defining moment?

Can they catch lightning in a bottle?

Can we have 1 player on each side of the ball become a play maker?

Can we finally get good OL play?

Can we finally get good QB play?

Right now this team is for the most part boring. Much like the 2010 team was boring.

Biggest questions:

Can the OL start flowing together instead of pushing bodies into each other?

Can we go a game without gifting the other team automatic scoring position multiple times via turnover? These are 6-, 10-, 14-point swings each time. 10-point win turns into a 7-point loss just like that.

Plug in my little space heater and put it on the coffee table. Wrap myself in a $5 fleece blanket from Walgreens.

The difference is that the with the 2010 team we know going into a game that we'd either most likely win or at least be competitive. That's not the case with this team. If we get our asses kicked again tonight then I think I'm out until we start playing worth a shit again, which could be not until next year. I have better things to do than watch the Colts embarrass themselves.
