It is far past time for frank reich to be held accountable!

Say what you want, cloud it in multiple TO's, a missed short FG to win it, a dropped TD pass, terrible play by the RT, dumb penalty on Speed, refusal to take the points, and inexcusable futility with clock management.

While all of those things are certainly components, they roll back to a TEAM that is routinely unable to just do the routine things that put you in the W column vs the L.

That's the issue, how many games do we lament with statements like "Frank's this or that cost us this game"? How many, way more than should be. Yeah a coach blows a game here or there, it happens, tough damn job, gonna blunder here or there. Frank blunders over and over and over and we keep losing games to inferior opponents.

He just cannot prepare a team sufficiently. They are a reflection of him, and while not possible to put a single succinct statement together on what he is doing wrong, he just continues to prove time and time again he is not a good head football coach. Unprecedented to fire a coach after the first game of the season, but if not, this is just going to be another Frank Reich 8-9 win season where you look back and feel like we have good enough talent, we just can't get over the hump. He is not a get over the hump coach. He needs to go away right now.

I bet Ballard is saying a lot of those very things to Frank right now.

Fuck that they knew goggles had a weakass leg, his kickoffs and finally his weakass can’t hit a gimme… they fucked up should’ve kept Verity that tiny leg little fuck has got to go

No, they should've re-signed Badgley.

Butter 09-11-2022 06:37 PM

verity sucked, if they went with someone else he wasn't it.

Why can't the punter do kickoffs? He's really worse than Specs at it? Can there be anyone worse than a guy who kicks it off out of bounds on two crucial points in the game?

Haack has only kicked off four times in his NFL career.

That was one of the reasons that I thought Dicker the Kicker would be a good replacement for Sanchez since Dicker punted and kicked in college.

He could have stepped in to be the punter and kick-off specialist.

I hate to say it, but you're right. Reich is complete fucking garbage. We skull fucked the shit out of the Texans last year to the tune of 62-3. We supposedly upgraded at DE, CB, and QB while the Texans stayed in rebuild mode and didn't do anything at all. Then somehow through Frank's incompetence we found ourselves down 20-3 entering the 4th quarter.

Then miraculously they cough up the ball and we score 17 straight and go into OT.

Then Frank shows his complete ineptitude. Instead of realizing that all we needed was a FG to win he decides to run a bootleg inside the red zone instead of just taking a knee in the middle of the field to set up a chip shot FG. It's like his dumb fuck ass doesn't know the rules of the game

That is what is most frustrating. We had a chip shot. Next score wins. First down? So, what? Kick it and win. No, run two negative plays first.

o

Ray Guy used to do that when he played for the Raiders, when ageless George Blanda no longer had the leg for booting into the end-zone from the 40 yard-line.

He doesn't trust "Blanky-shi-" under pressure any more than we do. (which is not-at-all)

He was 2-2 up to then in the game and it would have been from ~33. Why risk pushing it back to anything further if you don't trust him to hit from there?

And if he truly doesn't trust specs to hit from 33 yards in the middle of the field he needs to tell Ballard to go het him someone who can. He won't get anyone who can hit from 55 at this point, but he sure as shit can bring in someone who can hit from 35 (Badgley, etc.).

It is not so much a "weakass leg" as it is folding under pressure, regardless of the distance. The guy would probably miss a 25-yarder if it was a win-loss situation.

yea the kick was long enough, but it hooked right, looked like a screwball - he didn't get his foot on it right or something.

Even worse is Taylor had broken that defense a few more handoffs and he walks in for a TD again

A 33 yard FG straight down the middle should be an uncontested layup for one of the 32 best FG kickers in the world. If Specs isn't good enough to install faith that he will hit in then Frank needs to tell Ballard to bring in someone who will.

There was no need to even hand off again. Move the spot to the middle of the field and kick a 33 yarder for the win. Maybe Frank needs to bring in a consultant to make sure he's not being an absolute dumbass with his decisions.

That kick wouldn’t have went in from 33

Maybe if he would have been in the center of the field instead of the right hash he wouldn't have shanked it. Either way, if Frank doesn't trust his FG kicker to hit a fucking 33 yarder then he needs to tell Ballard to bring in someone better.
