Love the optimism. I am usually just as optimistic, but missing so much of the OLine has me worried. Not Chopped or Omaha level of worried, but worried.

HoosierinFL 12-25-2021 12:13 PM

2 game threads, that's bad luck

There is no way that some jerk-off Colts fan from New York State who was too blind to see that a game thread had already been made will have any effect on today's game.

The Cardinals are coming off of a loss to the Lions.

The Colts are coming off of one of their 2 biggest wins of the season, against the Patriots (the other big win was against the Bills.)

Prior to their loss to the Lions, the Cardinals had a record of 3-3 at home with a total of 11 turnovers in those 6 games ..... on the road, they had been 7-0 with only 2 turnovers in 7 games (again, prior to their loss to the Lions.)

Luck4Reich 12-25-2021 12:25 PM

Colts are winning this game... Taylor is going over 200 yards. Wentz over 300.

I'm not sure that Omaha is worried, so much as he just likes to pick against the Colts and harshly critique them for shits and giggles.

I remember when as a ritual, he picked against the Colts every week throughout the 2009 regular season and the playoffs ...... not so much because he really thought that the Colts would lose every week (they went 14-2 in the regular season, and made it to the Super Bowl in the post-season), but more so because they kept winning while he continually predicted losses for them.

I know his schtick. I just felt he would be offended if I left him out.:D

Yeah, that can’t be good.

Go Colts.

Puck 12-25-2021 02:00 PM

So missing LG. C and RG

But these guys are use to playing along side each other. So maybe their chemistry on the 2nd team will translate and not be AS big of an issue

Oldcolt 12-25-2021 02:06 PM

If they can win this game with 3/5 of the offensive line out, then Ballard deserves huge props for seeing a weakness last year (line depth) and really doing something about it. I have no idea how this is going to turn out. If the Colts can mentally stay in the game, I think that they can get a win.

I’m afraid it will show up most in the run game. Those quarterback sneaks were all behind Nelson and that is where Taylor loves to run.

Maniac, Willis & Pascal all on Covid list. Great

daedge 12-25-2021 05:11 PM

Fuck Covid

Dewey 5 12-25-2021 05:20 PM

Nearly impossible to compete with 9 starters out. For the unvaccinated it will be 2 games. Like Leonard

BCN#1 12-25-2021 05:26 PM

Another 2 AM game time for me.... sucks but will do my best to drag my old arse out of bed to catch this one just like last week´s awesome game. :)

Just wondering how many starters need to be out for a mid-market team to get their game moved to a Tuesday.

You knew it was coming. At least I did.

At least it happened after the New England game. If Leonard and Nelson end up missing 2 games, that’s gonna hurt because we may well end up needing to win the Raiders game.

Discflinger 12-25-2021 06:18 PM

Hopefully we witness the birth of our savior in JT.

Oldcolt 12-25-2021 06:20 PM

Can Reich keep these guys head in the game? Can Wentz step up? If we win this with this many out it would be a win for the ages.

Hopefully the Cards take us lightly with so many out. Not likely, but I still think we win on pure emotion. Some of these guys will have a golden opportunity to shine in a huge game with a lot at stake. Lets see it!

In my rat's ass of an opinion, the Colts are currently like a runaway train that has gone out of control, and this game against the Cardinals is the last legitimate chance for it to be tripped up and reigned back in ...... if you let them win today, no team on the planet will want to get in their way, in the regular season or the post-season.

Cards are likely pissed after the loss to the Lions. They will be looking to redeem themselves. So I doubt it.

Yeah, the Colts are being touted as one of the hottest teams in the NFL. They're coming off of a huge win over the Patriots, while winning 5 out of their last 6 games, and 7 out of their last 9 ...... why would ANY team take them lightly ??? )

At best, we might hope that the Cardinals come out flat and demoralized from their own recent decline. But take the Colts lightly ??? That makes no sense at all.

YDFL Commish 12-25-2021 07:22 PM

This will be a real test of the teams depth and Ballard's team building ability.

Offensively I expect to see a lot of passes to Hynes and JT.

Defensively, I truly think that we are fucked!

Wentz will need to be successful at hero ball for us to win tonight I am afraid. How many guy are going to even suit up for this game?

I'm a pro vaxer, so I hope these players that are unvaxed recover well. For me, I believe the severity of the virus is higher when you haven't been vaxed. If true, I just hope these players recover all their previous health.

Luck4Reich 12-25-2021 09:22 PM

Speed is gonna have a strong game.

Spike 12-25-2021 09:23 PM

Cards missed the field goal. Let's go Colts.

Luck4Reich 12-25-2021 09:24 PM

Let's score here and don't look back Colts!

Spike 12-25-2021 09:24 PM

If Murray want's to run, let's rough his ass up a bit.
