It isn't and has nothing to do with the point or discussion we were having.

Because he didn't fumble away the Ravens game? I told you all he would fumble away a key game as a rookie. I'll admit Rathman fixed a lot of his issues with fumbling, but the fumble issues did show up in a key moment.

Haven't really watched Bateman, watched mostly QBs until the Wentz trade, then OTs and EDGEs. Saw a lot of Najee in last year's film and while watching Mac Jones.

Ballard continues to build the locker room with Payne. High caliber person and freakish athlete. Will be interesting. None of the tackles were taken right after us validating Ballard passing on them, at least the professionals seem to agree.

We were having a discussion? I was just frustrated about drafting the trait guy with no production and no explanation for it on the tape.

Dam8610 04-29-2021 11:42 PM

Holy shit NO got a much better EDGE 7 picks later.

Well, it was a reply you made to a comment I made, so I think that would be a discussion?

Dam8610 04-29-2021 11:44 PM

GB being confusing and refusing to give Rodgers a WR again.

Ha, he had one fumble in the 2021 season and you're finding a way to bash him about fucking fumbling. Hilarious. And at that point the fumble made the game 7-7 in the 1st quarter, but that's "fumbling away the game." Yeah, sure.

Well, clearly we all do. I also was not thrilled we picked him over an LT. But the dialog we had was not about that in any way.

Chuck Clark 65 yard fumble return. They were at the 35. That play was a 10 point swing in the game.

The voice of reason is Puck and Ballard. Defense is damn important too and the Colts will still have a chance at a damn good offensive lineman in the 2nd round. So many of the offensive linemen left are basically the same. Damn good pick. Kudos to Ballard on this pick. He will address the left tackle position. Love this pick, calm down Colt fans.

Mr. Session 04-29-2021 11:52 PM

Eh, I don’t get it.

I don’t like his tape. He’s athletic, I’ll concede that, but so is everyone at the NFL level. His size isn’t exceptional, I see no real pass rush tools...

Again, I don’t get it. If they were fucked because no trade offers made sense, draft the Tackle and just run with the pass rushers we have. Nothing about this kid’s tape convinces me on a meaningful level he can contribute next year.

I’m not comfortable with it but will be pleased if I find out my football scouting skills are worse than I thought.

Just giving you a hard time here.... But...

You pointed out Paye only had 11.5 sacks

That much better Edge NO got had 9.5.... in 4 years as well. Maybe I read that wrong:cool:

Dam8610 04-29-2021 11:55 PM

Looking at Paye's RAS page is just as depressing. Great 40 time, but only slightly above average 10 split. Above average explosion. Elite strength. Average length. No production.

Bigger, longer, and faster. If you wanted a ball of traits, Turner's a better ball of traits.

Where is the strength on tape?

Penn State and Minnesota pushed his shit in the whole game.

He did heat up against Minnesota but it was all finesse and hustle.

Yes. In the 1st quarter. They had 3 quarters to make it up. They didn't. They were outplayed as a team. He didn't cost them the game.

And that was his only fumble the whole season. That's it. He had the 3rd most yards in the NFL (despite being in the dog house for many games) and had a whopping one fumble.

Oh I'm not defending him in any way, you're absolutely right. I was pointing to his RAS score of 9.95 for DEs on bench.

That play swung the entire momentum of the game. 10-0 is a much different place to be in against a team like the Ravens than 7-7.

Dam8610 04-30-2021 12:08 AM

Oh look, the Ravens take the best trait ball EDGE in the class in Oweh.

Dam8610 04-30-2021 12:12 AM

In fact I was just watching that Penn State tape Mr. Session referenced, couldn't help but laugh when I saw Paye take a few chop steps against a run play, then just stand there and let the RB run by him. That's not the tape of a first rounder.

No rush plan. No moves. Absolutely none. Just run into the guy and hope you can shed him without handfighting at all somehow.

Wrong, just fucking wrong. Dam, I hate telling you how wrong you are regarding these draft picks are. You thought Mac Jones was the best QB and yet he was the 5th QB taken. Paye is better than Oweh, period, end of the story. Just keep watching son. If the Colts would have taken Oweh over Paye, I would have been one of the most pissed off Colts fans on the planet.

Did you see Ojulari RAS?

You said he was better than Paye

Also did you see Paye's 3 cone?

You said we could take Jenkins and Turner at 54. The DE's are in higher demand that the OT's for a reason. They are better players
