I mean it's not like our season was over before that interception. You want him to turn to no-experience Kelly in that situation?

Going forward, sure, put Kelly out there. This season is over.

Can’t say I’m surprised with the outcome. Disappointed yes.

After Luck announced his retirement, I felt all along this was a 6-10 to 8-8 team. Our offensive line, head coach, and offensive line are just good enough to keep us from being a 2-4 win team like we were two years ago without Luck.

Unfortunately, we started 5-2 and it got everyone's hopes up, but we won a lot of 50/50 games. Then we started losing the 50/50 games and it all started with that god awful home loss to the fucking shitty ass Dolphins.

But, this is who we are. We're going to finish about 8-8. Just good enough to get a mid-1st round pick and now we're stuck searching for an answer at the most important position in the NFL for the foreseeable future.

Going to be more than a year, at least 2-3 years

Ravens win 20-17 last second 49 yard Justin Tucker FG

Nothing to lose. Might help our draft position, as we're stuck in mediocre team/quarterback hell.

review that last passing TD. it squirted out and hit the ground. he lost possession of the ball. insane they did not even review it (yes, I know they "review every TO/TD").

Come on, he's signed through next year. You know the Colts are going to roll with him and sell the idea of a full off-season where he's the unquestioned leader and healthy receivers will be just what he needs to turn a bunch of close losses this season into wins in 2020. Never mind the fact that all of the injured players are injury prone and there's a good chance that they'll be dinged again this time next year.

Probably my biggest gripe with the team is the sheer number of injuries. Lots of them around the NFL for sure but it seems like we have more than our share and are slow to recover. I hate to label a player soft in such a violent sport but we need to cut our losses with the most injury prone.

Need the Texans to win so the Ravens have the #1 seed .

Irsay is not stupid. He knows this team needs a superstar to sell tickets. They got blindsided this off season. But they will likely try to address the problem this off season. I expect an offensive draft regardless.

If this game doesn’t convince the remaining doubters then they are blind.

A painful end to a painful season. Oh wait, there are 4 games left.
Lot of work to be done this offseason, a lot of hard decisions to make.

I can know this to be true and still say fuck Luck.

They all three screwed us. Pagano and Grigson for the reasons you stated and Luck for stringing everyone along until retiring at the worst possible moment.

Why on earth is it remotely controversial to be pissed at the timing of Lucks announcement? I’ve never gotten that.

I can wish the guy well and still be pissed at how he fucked over the fans and the franchise, probably for many many years.

Luck worked all offseason, rehabbed through the preseason and he wasnt close to starting. He gave it every thing and it wasnt enough.

Hanging around on the PUP for 6 weeks wasnt going to fix him. When did you want to announce?

Opinions will always vary concerning his retirement and is understandable

I don't have facts to back this up, but I just feel that Luck indicated he wanted to quit at the end of last season and was handled by management. Don't decide yet, give it until summer camp and then decide. If you do that, we'll honor your contract. Like I said, I have no proof it went down like that, but it's possible.

Could very well have been the case?

Looking at the remaining 4 games, 7 and 9 is very possible, putting us in the middle of the draft 14 to 17. From there, a trade up to get the QB of your dreams is possible.

Doubt Bengals will trade and will take Burrow, who knows I just don't want Love...

I don't have any inside knowledge - but that's always been my theory. That is that they asked him to hold off on making a "final decision." After Lucks retirement I predicted a 6-10 season. Some koolaid drinkers were picking 10 or 12 wins. Gonna be a long offseason....

Agreed...who knows maybe Love works out but all I keep hearing is he has everything physical that Mahomes has. Sorry but that doesn't cut it for QB evaluation. Get ready Colts fans because if the great majority of you get what you wish for we could be finding out what many others have been experiencing for the last 20 years. Sucked to get Manning, Lucked into getting Luck and there will be no guarantees coming out this year or 2021 like when Manning/Luck came out.

I do know this...if playoffs are unlikely then Ballard/Reich have to do due diligence and see what Chad Kelly has to offer while getting a chance to play with the ones. He may just be Brissett but I doubt it. Certainly would not perform worse.

I see your point. Brissett is not the answer, neither is Hoyer. That means get a new guy in the draft. Play Kelly and if he plays well, you get a QB when you can in the draft. If he sucks, you trade up and get the best you can.

If the Bengals draft Burrows, could you get Dalton in a trade for a low draft choice?
