And that's the ball game. Unreal.

Colt Classic 09-13-2020 03:55 PM

Good ol' TY still not strong enough to make the tough catch. Fuck him too, when do we play Houston again?

Brylok 09-13-2020 03:55 PM

Minshew looks like one of the Doobie Brothers.

Spike 09-13-2020 03:55 PM

Damn! Turn out the lights, the party's over! Pathetic!!!!

I am pretty disappointed in pretty much everything about the team right now.

Me too. That was very underwhelming.

Absolutely agree, it was a team effort

nate505 09-13-2020 03:59 PM

I still have faith in this season, though I'm not sure why.

Brylok 09-13-2020 03:59 PM

Enough NFL for today. Later, y'all.

In the lead for the Trevor Lawrence bowl.

DragonTails 09-13-2020 04:01 PM

we lost because of

1. coaching
2. rivers
3. defense

I just say fuck it, burn it all to the ground, fake an injury to Rivers, and shoot for 0-3 wins. Trevor Lawrence has "generational" type potential. I thought he was as "can't miss" as Luck until he had a true sophomore-slump of a season last year. Still, he's as good of a "sure-fire" #1 pick QB as we've seen in quite awhile.

Dam8610 09-13-2020 04:03 PM

Let's just hope this is one of the team's worst performances of the year.

Incredibly disappointing.

Hoopsdoc 09-13-2020 04:27 PM

Jax won’t win more than 6 games this year. Reich didn’t have these guys ready.

Those guys are pros, it shouldnt take the coaches to get them focused.

Bad decision to go for it and not kick the FG. To early for that. Kick the Fg and get ahead on possessions

And that Brissett play..... Good God that was awful

Oldcolt 09-13-2020 04:38 PM

At least they won’t break my heart this year. The front office appears to have missed on Rivers. A bad team. Still time but doesn’t look promising

Kray007 09-13-2020 05:00 PM

19 of 20 passing. Incredible. Matt Eberflus’s Defense turns ordinary QB’s into the reincarnation of Dan Marino.

Me when I woke up this morning after listening to countless preseason podcasts

I was wrong

IndyNorm 09-13-2020 05:13 PM

What a garbage performance . I can't believe we got our asses kicked by what talent-wise is a semi-pro team who is trying to tank for the #1 pick. Although the silver lining is we now have the inside track on Lawrence, so I guess we showed them!

The Colts have been doing that for a long time now. It is pathetic that we can't get a decent secondary.

Dam8610 09-13-2020 07:09 PM

I have game pass, so after watching the game, I felt like the Colts had the makings of a blowout, but didn't convert where they needed to early to make it happen. They had the ball on the JAX 3 with a 7-0 lead in the first quarter needing 1 yard in 2 plays to get a first down, but they could not get it. Next drive, Rivers throws an INT and the Jaguars convert a short field into a 7-7 ballgame. Going forward, this team has to be better in the redzone. Too many missed opportunities down there, left at least 14 points on the field in a 7 point loss.

And they turn great QBs into their career days Like Drew Brees. Still waiting for this defense to show it can play with good teams.

Flexo 09-13-2020 08:35 PM

Did Deforest Buckner even do anything today? Minshew didn't seem to have much pressure up the middle.

Colts And Orioles 09-13-2020 09:00 PM

o

Perhaps today's disaster can serve as a reminder to the players that they are not as good as they thought they were ....... or perhaps they ARE that good, but they certainly can't just come in and believe that they can coast against any opponent, no matter how seemingly over-matched they appear to be.

If the Colts can rebound and win 5 out of their next 6 games, then perhaps the loss this afternoon was worth it if it winds up serving to open their damned eyes.

Granted, I wasn't fixated on the DL all the time, but the times I did take a note to pay attention it seemed like he was getting doubled a lot.

I'm far too stupid about defensive tactics to know if that means someone else on the line should have been getting better pressure, or if there was a scheme to drop someone else back in coverage and not take advantage of it. Whatever it is it didn't work.

It looked to me at times that we sent pressure to the opposite side of where they ran the ball. That set us up for failure in the passing game, too.
