I agree with the announcers' assessment of the situation just prior to the attempt ....... if we're going to expect Sanchez to make long field goal attempts in close games in the post-season (assuming that the Colts make the post-season), then he needs to start making them now ...... that 53-yard make was the antithesis of his 50-yard attempt that hit the crossbars and bounced back last month against the Packers.

"They're a hard team to put away because of DeShaun Watson."

The Bears had no problem putting them away last week. Our defense just sucks and is severely overrated.

nate505 12-20-2020 04:20 PM

So much for that good start

They just did!! Today the defense stayed home!

WaynesWorld87 12-20-2020 04:21 PM

There it is. Game tying TD. Not surprising.

Step up offense and stop settling for 3. And for fuck's sake, can this defense do something to live up to their name of a top 10 defense?

Okay, we get it. You don't like the defense.

Racehorse 12-20-2020 04:22 PM

Long scoring drive to end the game

The defense has stayed home for at least one half pretty much all season. They are extremely overrated and were eventually going to get burned in the 2nd half in a game. Looks like today is going to be that day. We've forced one punt today and that was on the Texans first possession. I still don't quite understand how the Texans have only 20 points this late in the game. They've done whatever they've wanted on offense since the 1st quarter.

We've done two things since: jack and shit.

I hope so; I gotta go to work. Overtime will just keep me there longer tonight.

2 times in the first half, the defense made stops. 1 punt and the fumble that they forced came on 3rd down ...... so even if the Texans had recovered the fumble, they would have been punting on 4th and long.

That's 2 stops, including 1 punt and a forced fumble on 3rd down ...... whatever truths that your posts contain are overshadowed by your extremely annoying agenda.

njcoltfan 12-20-2020 04:28 PM

Where’s that great offensive line today??

WaynesWorld87 12-20-2020 04:32 PM

And there's the drive killing penalty during the game's most crucial drive.

We got up 14-0 and have spent the rest of the game trying our damndest to piss it away and it looks we're going to succeed.

Brylok 12-20-2020 04:33 PM

Ty ty ty

WaynesWorld87 12-20-2020 04:33 PM

And thank you Texans for letting it run all the way down to the 2 minute warning.

Chromeburn 12-20-2020 04:33 PM

TY does it again.

TheMugwump 12-20-2020 04:33 PM

Texans fans must see TY in their nightmares.

They haven't been great all season. They've been decent to good, but not great.

The real uncomfortable truth, right here.

or not

TheMugwump 12-20-2020 04:35 PM

Three straight QB sneaks by Brissett to milk the clock. And then either punch it in, or kick the FG and leave Houston with very little time.

njcoltfan 12-20-2020 04:37 PM

Why do the Colts continue to run wide on first and goal??

Wit the 3 TOs that gives them a lot of time for Watson to drive for a Carebear FG

I think that that may also describe this 2020 Colts teams, and its entire season ...... and I'm as optimistic about this team as anyone.

True, but it will make them burn at least a TO or two, and I would think they couldn't stop the TD on three straight sneaks.

But too late now.

Chromeburn 12-20-2020 04:38 PM

So the plan here is to eat clock and then kick? Maybe a try to put it in on 3rd down?

This Texans game today has me more concerned that the Steelers game last week, specifically because of Deshaun Watson ...... subsequently, I believe that this game is the Colts' biggest hurdle in regard to the possibility of running table after the loss to the Titans 3 weeks ago.

(3 Hours Later)

I wish that I was wrong about this ...... I was hoping for a win of more than one possession, but we aren't going to get it.

TheMugwump 12-20-2020 04:41 PM

Wait for the Blackmon pick-six, to cover the spread.

Thorgrim 12-20-2020 04:43 PM

Turnover please.

Dang it Rhodes, that was just stupid

I'm really glad that we got a TD right there instead of a field goal ...... I'm really glad that this team has won more often than it has lost ...... I'm really glad that this is more of a complete team than one that is extremely quarterback-reliant ...... but I must say, they almost always make me nervous as hell every time that they play.

WaynesWorld87 12-20-2020 04:45 PM

That shouldn't have been a flag. Are you kidding?! It was a bang-bang type of play that happened as soon as Watson was going out of bounds. Disagree with that one.

WaynesWorld87 12-20-2020 04:46 PM

Just one stop, defense. Just one fucking stop. Can one damn DB break up a pass? Just once?

Perhaps it shouldn't be, but it's been a penalty in the NFL for at least a decade now.

TheMugwump 12-20-2020 04:47 PM

That's five.

Yeah, you're right. I just don't know what else the defender can do there to avoid it? He started making his move on Watson before Watson was technically OOB. I just wish the refs used their best judgement on those calls more ofteu

Thorgrim 12-20-2020 04:49 PM

One more sack. Just one

nate505 12-20-2020 04:50 PM
