It sucks that another QB will be off the board at 4, but I’m glad Colts aren’t giving up that much to move up. I like Stroud, but I’m not positive he’s a star.

They will draft Stroud. He fits with Reich well. Houston should go young then. That means Indy likely chooses Richardson.

Not if the team the trades with Arizona takes him. You know Ballard isn't trading up.

Maybe they like Levis and he will be there all along.

Plot Twist: We don't take a QB and we don't cut Matt Ryan. We're all bamboozled.

Total Ballard move

Maybe, seems suspect with this lot, I hate to trade away much future chance to get better.

Then they could draft the best pass rusher in the draft and then take Hooker in the 2nd.

Dam8610 03-11-2023 06:29 AM

If you can't draft Stroud or Young, don't draft a QB this year. It's a waste of a pick.

But not good enough to help the team. There are really good players that are not Qbs. How about a Left Tackle at 4?

Tanking for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye should be the plan.

Ha, I was just getting ready to comment that I made the mistake of trying to read through the official site message board and it was chock full of guys on suicide watch because they hate Ballard for this.

They want us to Ricky Williams our entire draft for one of these guys. Of course then they'll want us to Ricky Williams next years draft for whoever the highest ranked fantasy football player in free agency is.

I mean picks and DJ Moore, so it would’ve took losing Pittman to get the 1, Fuck that

Show me something that say's he is Wentz 2.0? I have watched hours of footage on all the QB's in this draft. He is more athletic than Wentz. He has better accuracy. He doesn't hang onto the ball like Wentz. He will throw the ball away and play another down. All the shit I read on here about him is just regurgitated bullshit that is read from some fucking geek in a magazine or web site. Don't be lazy, watch some video and you will have an educated viewpoint, unless you're retarded that is.

Dam is probably leading the charge to Ricky Williams our draft.

He has the same Pigeon Toe mechanical flaw as Wentz that makes Wentz fail. If you've watched "hours of film of him", have you bothered once to look at his plant foot when he throws? Because that's where all his problems come from, and they're the same problems Carson Wentz has. That is the reason it's entirely appropriate to call hom Wentz 2.0. The massive amount of turnovers don't help, either.

As long as we're dealing hypotheticals, maybe our new QB whisperer HC thinks that he can work wonders with Ellinger.

Dam8610 03-11-2023 11:33 AM

Maybe this, maybe that, the Panthers said they were willing to trade off 1, go get it. That simple.

You can believe your lying eyes if ya want. I'll believe what I see. The difference between you and me? I'll admit when I am wrong, you'll cook up some 6 degrees of separation why you were not technically wrong. Wrong is wrong no matter what outliers you use.

Because they wouldn’t have gotten a QB at 9. They had to trade up and gave up a lot of assets to do it.

Dam is in denial. There is no way in hell Carolina is trading back to four unless their GM suffers some sort of mental breakdown.

That would entirely negate moving up to one in the first place, which was obviously to take a quarterback.

They’re trying to entice Houston to trade for the first pick. Nothing more.

He just wants Stroud. It’s the only thing he cares about.

Thing is, I think there is a real shot Richardson goes 1. Teams are a lot higher on him than the fans or press are. Fans and press are always slow to the party. Media wants to talk about the good college QB's because those are built in clicks and reads. And fans are just dumb and don't know anything usually.

I'm thrilled they made this trade. I thought the Colts were going to do something foolish and make that trade myself, so this was great news for me. Trading 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks and a WR like Pittman to move up three spots for a QB like Stroud or Young is the height of insanity.

At this point I'm fine with the Colts moving something small like a future 2nd round pick to move up to 3, or them just sticking at four and taking whoever is leftover (if there's somehow more than one of the 4 guys left, my preference is Young/Stroud/Richardson/Levis in that order), or trading back for more picks and getting a guy like Hooker, or even saying fuck it and taking an Anderson or Carter and then taking a guy like Hooker in the 2nd round.

Any of those scenarios are better to me than what Carolina just did. And I'm not even getting the massive Levis criticism. Like I see the potential flaws, and I would prefer the potential of Richardson over him myself, but my god it seems like the narrative that he's going to be a bust has just been carved in stone without much to base it on.

I want Super Bowl wins. You need a QB but you also need a pass rush. We don’t have either and both usually require a high draft choice. Putting Will R at rush end in Bradley’s defense would make it special

I’d be perfectly happy taking Anderson at 4 (if AZ trades out) and taking Hooker late 1st or early 2nd. I don’t think they have the luxury of pushing QB to next year though. That was gone when they tanked last season - whether it was intentional or not. Right or wrong they have to leave this draft with a promised “savior.”

I am not opposed to that. Hooker and McKee will be there with our first pick of the 2nd. round. Both are good QB's with higher upside than downside.
McKee will stand in and deliver the ball knowing he will get killed. He had a decent season playing against good teams while he was surrounded by talentless players.

Hendon Hooker: Good arm, can run when needed. Doesn't make a lot of stupid mistakes. Footwork is good. I think McKee is more accurate, but Hooker definitely has a stronger arm and for me they are equal with Hooker getting the edge on arm strength. My main concern with him he tends to trust his arm to much and throw into coverages he shouldn't when he has an open lane for 10-15 yards.

You're not admitting being wrong about this, despite the fact you clearly are. If you've "watched hours of tape on him", you're either willfully ignorant of his pigeon toe, or don't know how to spot it. It even showed up in his throws at the combine. I don't want a QB that needs a complete mechanical rebuild.

If the Panthers go Richardson or Levis, and the Texans go Young, that's the ideal scenario at this point. There's so much projection on Richardson. Could he be the next Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, or Cam Newton? Sure. He's far more likely to be the next Reggie McNeal, Brad Smith, Tyrod Taylor or Trace McSorley.

Cmon man just like Stroud could be the next Troy Smith, Braxton Miller, or Terell Pryor

"Former Ohio State QB" is not a trait that matters on the football field. "Athlete playing the QB position that sucks at accuracy and ball placement" is a trait that matters on the football field.

Everyone didn’t have Harrison Jr and 10 seconds to stand in the pocket and play 7 on 7

If Stroud goes to the Panthers we’ll see how good he really is

Oldcolt 03-11-2023 04:45 PM

I’m thinking Lamar makes sense for both us and the Ravens. He will cost a fortune but so what. He is as close to a sure thing as possible.

None of them has played a fucking down of football in the NFL, way to speculate on something you know nothing about. I wouldn't expect anything less from you however. Come talk to me at the end of the season and lets see who is wrong. I'll step right up if I am. You on the other hand, yea, like I said, you will blame it on anything other than you didn't have a fucking clue.

The way a QB's front foot points when he throws a football is an objective data point. Levis's front foot, from a mechanical perspective, points the wrong way when he throws. It is a biomechanical fact. He hasn't played a down in the NFL, but most of the throws he's made in college and at the combine reflects his front foot pointing the wrong way.

Sorry, I did not mean in traits. I meant in bust potential.
