Pinter has looked like shit, so has the entire line but my question is why? I find it difficult to believe that he is to weak to play guard. He has issues with bull rushes as has been pointed out, but if that was the only issue on this line we would be flying. JT has been a stud at pass protection in the past, he is built like a rock and has zero fear. He is the real deal. Until this group plays like a unit it is impossible to say that one guy is the issue. When you have 7-8 guys (I include our QB, RB and TE) who are not on the same page the biggest culprit is coaching. They (the line) don’t seem to know what the fuck they are supposed to do in relation to each other. Weird because that was a strong point for this staff and unit until recently. Not giving up on this group yet but sure not getting excited about them.

Manning and Harrison alone were already like 25% of the cap, prime Reggie needed to be signed that same off-season and they knew in the near future guys in their prime like Freeney, Mathis, Clark, Sanders, etc. would need contracts. There was also an upward trend in RB-by-committee happening. For what it's worth: Rhodes + Addai rushed for more yards in 2006 than Edge + Rhodes did in 2005. And together their salaries were like half of what Edge ended up getting in ARZ. |

The Eagles are what we are trying to be. But to do that you have to consistently spend high picks on your lines. They also invested in WRs.

We are dead last in points scored thus far this season.

FWIW - The Eagles are currently starting both a former 7th Round Draft Pick at LT (Jordan Mailata) and a former 6th Round Draft Pick at C (Jason Kelce) |

A high pick for Q, then a second rounder for Smith. After that it’s been low round picks and journey men for us. |

They drafted Andre Dilliard 22 overall to hopefully be a future LT. It’s just tremendous luck that Mailata has become what he has. |

(vs. BRONCOS, 10/06) Prior to their loss to the Raiders on Sunday, the Broncos' defense led the league in points allowed, at 11 points per game (33 overall.) That said, they gave up 25 of the 32 points that were scored against the previously-winless Raiders 4 days ago ...... after a disastrous first 4 games of the season, will the Colts' offensive line finally have at least a decent game tonight on ) Thursday Night Football ??? o |

I thought that at most, there may have been a slight improvement on the offensive line as compared to the first 4 games of the season ...... but that isn't saying much, considering how awful they were in those first 4 games. o |

The difference is their consistent high investment in the oline and their development of Hurts. We stopped after Nelson and Smith. You can’t stop and you need to also use FA. Our dline looks good finally. |
Great Colts O-line...Ryan Kelly is done, period...Smith has regressed a lot...and Q is starting to regress.
All have got large $$$ and are now playing safe trying to collect those $$$ for as long as they can while doing the minimum that they can. |

Looking at him now it seems like his legs are too skinny relative to his torso. He doesn't appear to have as much power as he once did. |

(ONE MONTH LATER) If their offensive line had been even average this season, the Colts would be one of the best teams in the NFL ...... and if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. o |
