I recall cities burning last summer while CNN called it “fiery but mostly peaceful demonstrations” in one of the most infamous moments of the whole year. And don’t forget Wapo’s “austere religious scholar” description of a terrorist because they didn’t like the fact that Trump killed him. I could keep going.

It’s not whataboutism, it’s the exact same thing.

Look, I don’t disagree that right wing sites are a problem. But left wing sites are just as bad.

It’s not as much a right or left wing problem as it is an entire media problem.

Did you miss the trump rally inDC where he sent his minions to attack the Capitol while they chanted “hang Mike Pence”?

The FBI has stated that right-wing extremists are a growing threat domestically. This article shows the increase of right wing incidents on the graph which dwarfs the comparable left wing extremists group actions. In the past year we had a group plan to kidnap a governor, a riot trying to prevent the certification of our election, a bomb threat in DC just the other day. The number of hate groups have increased a 1000 fold since Obama was president.

I remember those riots as well and no one agreed with them. However, perception from these sites was that every city was burning down. But you would never see this headline on right-wing sites.

I remember sites encouraging Clinton to challenge the election also since she won the popular vote. But she didn't and did the right thing by conceding because our elections don't go off the popular vote. She lost.

Fortunately, left and right is not the same thing or we probably would be at war now. Yes, left-wing media can be bad as well, but not as bad. Right-wing media is focused on creating outrage and anger, focused on the liberal as the main antagonist. Liberals tend to spread out their news sources so you have different ideas coming in. Conservatives are centered around Fox news and generally just have one source for their news. This gives Fox a stranglehold on what is reported, and they are bad and actively omit things. Not to mention their opinion commentators like Tucker had to declare that their shows are entertainment and not news bc of all the lies they put in them. That means conservatives are generally less informed on issues.
pew research on media breakdown

Right-wing is really focused on angering their viewers/listeners with fear-based ideology. I suggest the documentary "The Brainwashing of my dad". Might be interesting, free on amazon prime.

Finally, after watching all the frustrated angry anti-maskers at these school board meetings (some of whom do not even have kids) that is why I say "ok, enough is enough."

Out of respect for everyone here, this will be my last post on this subject in this thread.

I don’t even think we really disagree. I’m just willing to assign blame wherever it lies, not just on one side of the political spectrum.

The examples I gave were from some of the oldest legacy media organizations in the country. They were blatantly wrong or biased and there are THOUSANDS more examples where those came from. The links you provided were about sites like Parler and Gab. Sure, there are nuts there, but they’re not the New York Times or WAPO. Not even close.

Objectively, it’s not a right or left issue. It’s a media issue. Don’t let partisanship blind you to the truth.

This is my last post regarding this as well. If you want to continue it in the other section that is fine.

You might be confused with another thread maybe? I don't see any examples from you. You mentioned Vox and Huffpo and thats it. I think we can agree those are not legacy media, nor examples.

I'm not saying there isn't issues on the left, there are, but it pales in comparison to what is happening on the right. Unfortunately, the problem is the right is being radicalized. You can see it online, being reflected in polls, and even see it personally. I do not see the same behavior on the left. Even at the height if Trump's controversy. I didn't see polls showing a growing number of liberals wanting to overthrow the govt or encourage the military to stage a coup. I don't constantly hear liberals talk about someone needing to do something (implying violence) or Jan 6th didn't go far enough.

right-wing-embrace-of-conspiracy-is-mass-radicalization-experts-warn

You mention partisanship, but I don't hate the right, I want them to return to Earth. Hell, I am conservative in a lot of ways, but the Q/stolen election/Trump hero-worship is nuts. The gab and parlour are just where they congregate now. I do agree, it is a media issue. I provided a whole documentary on Amazon discussing the effect right-wing media is having like Fox news and Right-wing radio. I really suggest watching it.

fox-news-brain-meet-the-families-torn-apart-by-toxic-cable-news

fox-news-watching-what-i-learned

The truth is most Americans agree on just about everything. It is only a few issues that people seem divided over, yet those issues are made to seem like huge uncrossable rivers when they are streams at most.

I never thought I would see something like Jan 6th in my lifetime. I know its downplayed on the right, its minimized, or attributed to antifa etc. But there were some bad actors in that crowd looking to do real harm. If any of those groups had caught Pelosi or the Vice President do you think it would have ended well? I don't. That is not a joke or a LOL moment. It is a warning shot across the bow.

I figured that they wanted him as a practice squad guy.

During the off season, he worked out with Eason and Okereke in California.

Glad we are keeping 7 WR. Hope Ehlinger can get together with whomever helped Drew Brees get an arm. A little surprised that both the Davis' were cut and Marvell made the team. If COVID or injuries don't decimate us it should be an interesting team to root for.

Assuming that there are still 11 DL at that time - when the 3 "Close Contact" COVID Reserve players are activated, one of the DL will be dropped.

However, the Colts may make a waiver claim or two in the interim and they may drop a DL on a corresponding move.

With this teams vaccination rate it’s a safe bet that we will have a steady half dozen COVID Reserve players throughout the year. 😉
