Off of the top of my head, the first thing that comes to mind is the 1993 Miami Dolphins.

So nobody within the last 32 years. Not since 1993. Got it. Thanks.

The 2009 Broncos started the season at 6-0, and finished at 8-8.

The 2023 Eagles started at 10-1, and finished at 11-6. They were then blown out of the Wildcard playoffs by a score of 32-9.

The 2012 Bears started at 7-1 and finished at 10-6, missing the playoffs.

I said off of the top of my head, I didn't say that I was reciting each and every example in pro football history.

I am not that optimistic about AR becoming a franchise or even good QB (I think there is still small chance he does). I am optimistic that the guy won't spend most of his life behind bars.

Absolutely brutal day. We were already down our best defensive player + the guy we gave up two 1sts to come be our new best player... Then we lose our QB for the year and both our best WR and starting RT get concussions that will likely cost multiple games due to being repeat customers.

And we don't even have AR to fall back on because why would we? Now Leonard is about to get his first start on the road in Seattle in mid-December when they're fighting for the #1 seed.

And Jones' injury was a real shame because he looked a little more like himself to start the game. Some PA/rollout/boot stuff + the scramble for easy yards. Things looked normal again for a second.

Complimentary football went out the window after he went down and it snowballed. Leonard actually had some decent drives, though. Nothing left to do but see what he can do with reps. Crazy.

Logged on to respond to Fish, but you beat me to it. Few, if any NFL QBs should be mentioned in the same breadth as that POS Schlichter. Ryan Leaf, Johnny Manziel, and Chad Kelly are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I think a pretty fair comparison for AR as of today is Trey Lance.

I like Shane's sideline demeanor and have appreciated the sense of urgency he appears to carry himself with on gameday.

Alternatively, I don't think he's particularly inspirational to young men nor is he a schematic genius.

The colts have done a decent job of bringing nice kids into the program but I think it's time they get a coach that knows how to win and has proven that.

The only reason why I compared him to Art was it was not a good idea to begin with. They could have held off or traded that pick. It wasn't thought out at all. I should have thought more of Jeff George. That was stupid as well.

Some teams don't even have 3 in their history.

The "greatest of all time" of the old era was Johnny U. He wore the shoe. I still can't get over Luck. There was Bert Jones who also didn't want to be a Colt.

The reality is in the NFL the franchise QB is becoming less.

That's like A's fans saying we are not the White Sox or Rockies.

Does it really make you feel better.

Cursed are we.

The difference is in the NFL you can't have nice things due to injuries,

At least we’ve experienced a Super Bowl winning season in our lifetime. That’s something, I guess.
