I think the Colts are waiting to see if Ehlinger can return from IR.

Ehlinger started to practice this past week - he has a 3 week window to return once he starts practicing.

If Ehlinger cannot be activated next week - the Colts will be forced to make a decision about Eason being the back-up. Teams can only elevate a player from the practice squad for 2 weeks - this was the 2nd week that Hundley was elevated so the Colts cannot make that same maneuver next week. Of course, one other option would be to cut Eason and promote Hundley to the active roster.
