Well, losing those fucking timeouts really killed us, along with Reich's dumbass decisions.

Chromeburn 01-09-2021 05:23 PM

Not taking points. 6 drops. Inaccurate passes.

We have 100 million to spend again. No excuse not to have better talent in this team.

Brylok 01-09-2021 05:24 PM

Not happy but not mad either. Good game. Go on, Buffalo.

What the fuck happened there ???

The runner went out of bounds with 19 seconds left ...... then, the Bills called timeout before a play was run.

Where did those 5 second go ??? Those 5 seconds made a HUGE difference, because if there were 19 seconds left to play, Rivers could have easily completed a pass over the middle and still had plenty of time to spike the ball ...... so those 5 seconds literally took away the middle of the field for the Colts.

Oldcolt 01-09-2021 05:25 PM

One and done again. We are who we are

Blankhorizon 01-09-2021 05:25 PM

good season but not good enough. need a QB and Reich needs to question some of his decisions

Mr. Session 01-09-2021 05:25 PM

I’m starting to think a discussion needs to be had about what our expectations are for riech’s future.

I'm not furious as in general I thought they played well. But damn, they had a shot and couldn't overcome a number of things in their control. That sucks

Technically the Colts should've already lost on the Pascal fumble the play before, but that was crap that they ran the clock.

Spike 01-09-2021 05:30 PM

Why was Rivers throwing that Hail Mary pass instead of Jacoby? Even if our guy caught it, he would have been tackled in bounds.

Maybe, but you still need to referee the rest of the game competently. Questionable/bad calls get made throughout a game often ...... whenever the Colts have bad calls made against them, I always point out that they (bad calls) are part of the game, and that good teams win in spite of them (bad calls and/or bad breaks.)

Unless I am seeing things (quite possible), I cannot believe that Rivers, Reich, and the entire 8-man team of officials missed those 5 seconds.

Colts win if fucking Turay doesn’t jump offsides

Mr. Session 01-09-2021 05:32 PM

I'm happy with the season. It was a good season. But they should not have lost this game.

Indy has exceptional talent in their trenches both offensively and defensively. This is a wasted season; They are more talented as a team than their record indicates, and they have a good record.

Irsay has got to be thinking that he can't blow this shit again. I don't have the answers but if this team doesn't win the division next year and have a home playoff game I will consider it a failure and believe Irsay and Ballard need to seriously consider how they are going to start winning, now.

They're going to waste the prime of this offensive line and the prime of this defensive front 7 the likes of which we have rarely seen because they have failed to provide the same level of production from the quarterback position and their coach's questionable decision making.

Next year is it. Y'all gotta figure it out or heads HAVE to roll.

Discflinger 01-09-2021 05:32 PM

Frank, you beat yourself and Turay is the new Baskett:

Discflinger 01-09-2021 05:34 PM

I do hope Rivers comes back

Brylok 01-09-2021 05:34 PM

Luck leaving is pretty much the entirety of our problem as far as the team goes.

The Colts win if a lot of things go differently, including if they had recovered the fumble that squirted away from their defense when Buffalo had the ball near midfield with a little over 2 minutes left to play.

This loss was a team effort, including the players and the coaches ...... even our stud rookie Jonathan Taylor had several drops of passes that were in his hands.

o

daedge 01-09-2021 05:37 PM

472 yards of O and just 24 points.
Reich got too cute, and not just on the fourth down call. Running Hines out of the wild cat on second down was the start of it. Hand the rock to JT on 2nd and 3rd, and not on a toss.

Wasting two timeouts in the second half also played a huge hand in the loss.

As for Turay's brain-dead play...that was one of the dumbest plays I've seen in 22 years of watching football. Still can't comprehend how anyone can be so stupid.

Mr. Session 01-09-2021 05:37 PM

The Turray thing breaks my heart because I am pulling for that guy on a personal level.

I hate to say it but that shit might lose him his job. That was the first time I've watched this team and thought that a player was a legitimate psychological liability.

I was afraid for him to go in. That might have been one of the most retarded displays I have ever seen.

This is literally what I keep saying to myself. I don't get that shit.

Taylor is the more powerful runner anyway, I want him running north south. Do they not trust him to make the correct read?

I appreciate that Hines runs hard for his size but if Taylor would have had the look Hines had on that play he would have drug that dude into the endzone.

When they did let Taylor get the ball on the perimeter there was always some cute fucking gimmick in there.

Just give the kid the ball and let him run - just line up and PLAY FOOTBALL.

I would rather have Rivers throw than Jacoby come in cold and attempt it.

This is where I am. We played a SB favorite on the road to a FG to tie with the ball, but came up short. The core of the team is young and under contract. We have a top GM in charge f the draft. We need a QB and a couple other spots badly, but we are not THAT far off.

It’s my biggest criticism of the front office. They have no sense of urgency. They have had like 100 million to spend every offseason. Why can’t we shore up our weaknesses? Honestly, everyone loves the build strategy, but I have seen little evidence this is a more effective way to build a team than any other. The only time we have shown any real potential to win it all was when we had a franchise QB.

No, but they also wouldn't have had to use a pick on Eason, so they could have used that to get more talent on defense.

I was totally pulling for him, as well. Such a great story after what he did against KC.

100% agree. Me and Chaka argued about this a few years ago. It is extremely hard to win SBs without a franchise QB. And pretty much impossible now days to build the dynasty Chaka and Ballard aspire to without one. Ballard needs to be aggressive this off season and hope the can strike gold and win one. Continuing to make decisions for 3-4 years down the road is the way to one and done’s not SBs.

Not only was Rivers not sacked today, but he also was touched ONE TIME by the Bills defenders for the entire game.

On top of running the clock the spot was off too. Pittman gained ~2 yards on the play and the ref spotted it a yard behind the LOS.

Couldn't agree more. It's past time Ballard opens up the checkbook and starts filling needs.

I'd rather resign Leonard and Nelson than sign aging vets.

Yep. We have built our core. Get a couple difference makers and make a SB push.

I was annoyed Charles Davis' relatively annoying ass described that as a "stalemate".

Dude. That is an athletic as fuck quarterback who has nothing but open field and is still a threat to throw the ball.

The fact Leonard lined that up and STUCK the tackle like it was a pop warner instructional VHS tape is ridiculous.
