Guys, I really hate to break this news to you, but I just got word that the Refs have overturned the last two Colts scores. Jags won the game.

I hope the o-line is fixed now. That's been the main problem. Pittman, Pierce, and Campbell were outstanding. I don't know what happened to the run defense of all things, but I'll take that win. I'm stunned. If the line is truly fixed, let's go!

Ryan is one tough son of a bitch. He got wacked hard again today.

I had a bad feeling about McLaughlin kicking another game winner, guy has been clutch, but we can't expect him to hit them all....so glad Frank pulled a Frank and this time it paid off big time!

I had that bad feeling also. All of his kicks look like knuckle balls. They go through, but it’s a roller coaster of emotions every time he kicks it.

Did Raimann get hurt? I hope Kelly was a short term fix at LT, because that will go as bad as Pryor long term.

Kelly replaced Raimann after 2 series. Don't know if was because of poor play or injury. Perhaps someone that watched the game can help.

On the Gilmore PI, the Jags right tackle committed a false start. An obvious false start. I don’t know how they missed it.

That’s what Frank was pissed about. Play should have been blown dead.

Yep. Even after Ryan's turn as our QB is done, if we can eventually land a young, franchise caliber QB, he should have a talented, seasoned, yet still reasonably young core of WRs.

YDFL Commish 10-16-2022 09:58 PM

Parris won't be with the team next season.

Terrible all day, Pierce was getting mugged, a clear false start , and they said the 2 point conversion was good we had no idea it got overturned they never announced shit until we looked at the score we we’re all like WTF??

Pryor looked like that long enough last year for Ballard to give him a second shot at it this year.

That is an oddly definitive statement when we have no idea how he will play the rest of the season and how the Colts decide to deal with the cap.

Would you pay the man given his history and lackluster production? I know I wouldn't.

He’s produced when healthy, he really has, problem was he was never healthy. I could imagine Ballard taking the risk here because 1) we have few other options at this position and 2) no one is offering him a big contract elsewhere

Depends on what "pay the man" means. I doubt he commands much more than vet minimum on the open market, getting him for slightly more than that on a one year deal seems like a no brainer if he keeps playing well.

Here's my argument against that, right or wrong. Parris is suppose to be a speed WR, but how many speed WR's own a yds, per reception rate of 10.2 over their careers? Those are TE numbers, and not good TE numbers either.

My other argument would be that Ballard treats this just like he did with Malik Hooker, who had the same injury issues and on occasion showed some big play ability.

And it takes WRs a while to adjust to the pro game. Well, it used to. Anyway, Parris has the game experience of a second year player, so he may be ready to shine, but nobody else will take a gamble on him if he is just slightly above average the rest of the season.

if you can pay him like a 4 then maybe. but he doesn't play special teams. i would probably steer clear. especially since the college game is putting out so many quality wr's

That is about where I think his value is, unless he just goes off the rest of the year.
