Default Ehlinger getting first team reps

Competition at qb. First time in a long time pre season is going to be interesting for me. I have no favorite, everybody loves a huge arm but I keep thinking of J Russel. Ehlinger has played a whole lot more than Eason over the last few years. I think that gives him a huge advantage in processing what is going on. Personally I would take the brain over the arm most days.

Wentz/Nelson being back at practice not in walking boot one week after surgery is a good sign.

That’s why you have the competition. Eason certainly has the higher ceiling, but not surprised either. Ehlinger has a lot more game experience.

Ehlinger got snaps with the makeshift first team and didn't do as well as Eason did when he played with them. And Eason with the 2nd string was better than anything Ehlinger has done to date also.

I think it was Reich shutting up the media about this. It's Eason's to lose. But I think Wentz plays week one anyway. He's already at practice (as well as Q). not in walking boots for either.

Ehlinger, wins the #2 spot I'm fine with that, but his arm better be stronger than what I saw out of Rivers last season.

Rivers was throwing lollipops on anything over 20 yards and it was causing a lot of contested catches or contested drops.

Rumor is Ehlinger was playing safer with the ball only thrown 1 pick so far that’s what’s intriguing Reich heard on JMV

Good. Because he was a pick machine at Texas.

J. Russell...gods I hope not.
