Default Injury / Surgery Updates

There was a lengthy article posted on the Colts website that provided some info about surgeries / injury updates:

https://www.colts.com/news/darius-le...son-procedures

Darius Leonard: Had surgery on his ankle last week. Will miss rest of offseason workout program, OTAs and minicamp. Expected to miss about 6 weeks. Should be ready for training camp (10 weeks away).

Eric Ebron: Had surgery to his groin in April. Not expected to miss time, but will be limited over the next few weeks.

TY Hilton: Will be eased into training camp to continue to rest up from his low and high ankle sprains.

Jack Doyle: Still recovering from hip surgery. Expected to be ready by training camp.

Deon Cain: Should be ready by training camp. The Colts don't expect him to be 100% until midseason.

Seems odd that Leonard had surgery just last week. Why not March?

My thought was maybe they wanted to see how it looked after some rest. And maybe the off season workouts up to this point showed it wasn't where the Colts / Leonard wanted it to be at.

Hoping it was a minor set back and nothing to cause concerns

More eye opening is that Cain my not be a go until mid season

That is a bit concerning since his injury was so early.

It really isn't a shock. ACL tears take time to heal. He will be ready to practice and play, but won't be where they want him until mid-season. Kind of like it took Hooker a while to get back his game speed.
